What if you could watch Netflix and log into Facebook on your TV after you watch a movie? The LG-BP350 Streaming Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player is the perfect all-in-one fit for LG product enthusiasts. It not only has high-definition movie playback with high resolution for Blu-rays and DVDs, but also connects to the Internet! It is a product that excels in LG product blend, design and performance. LG Product Collaboration Friendly A favorite feature by many LG product enthusiasts is this product’s ability to blend and unite with other LG Products. My LG Wi-Fi Blu-ray Player automatically connected and synced with my LG TV. This feature is a must since it allows for the use of one remote for both products. This product also contains a USB port, which enables easy connectivity to your LG computer. These features create a great uniformed LG product blend that allows for quick, unified accessibility to all LG products. Sleek and Space-Conscious Design The design of this product perfectly matches the classy, black sheen of all other LG products. This allows for your media stand with LG products to look uniformed. It is very compacted; it is smaller than a standard notebook and only 1.7 inches tall (See Figure 1). The compressed size allows for more free space on your TV stand (See Figure 2)! Although this product doesn’t have a digital display, this component allows for the reduction of space to keep the product compact and space-conscious. It is a product that enhances all other other LG products through its Internet connection, high resolution movie playback and easy, troubleshooting free performance! If you are satisfied with LG’s products, then this Wi-Fi Blu-ray player will meet your expectations and more! It is a perfect addition to an LG TV for it enhances its significance. Total Trash

So I picked this device for a few reasons. First off it has all of the streaming app options I was looking for, and two it was recommended by the girl at the store, and it has good ratings. Here's the thing though, after only a few days the wifi receiver started acting up, disconnecting and losing the saved wifi settings. Then the unit itself started to randomly freeze either in a menu or at random points while watching a show or movie via streaming. It was somewhere around the two week mark that I actually put a disc in to watch, I had to turn the volume up all the way on my tv and sound bar to TRY to cover up the growl of the disc motor, eventually I piled some towels on the unit to muffle the sound. I've had it for maybe a month and a half now and the wifi receiver just gave out completely, Unfortunately for me I threw the box away anticipating a quality machine. Take my advice, spend the extra money and get something better, I just threw mine in the trash... (one star is required so I guess that star can be for the available streaming apps it comes with, BTW you have to download each app before you can use it)

This is a basic blu-ray player, which is exactly what I was looking for. It doesn't offer many bells and whistles. It does have built-in wi-fi, but I can't vouch for how good or bad this feature is since I don't use it. I just wanted a plain blu-ray player and that's just what the BP-350 is. The player is very compact--10½" wide, 7½" deep, and less than 2" tall. It is smaller than many hard-back books. This makes it a good choice where space is limited. The BP-350's only manual controls are an on-off button and an open-close button for the DVD tray. The only front display is an indicator light when it's powered on. Other controls and displays are called up using the included remote. On the back the only inputs are for an HDMI cable and power. This made it super-easy to set up. Note that you _will_ need an HDMI cable to connect to a TV. The player is not equipped for any other type of connection. It also has a USB port on the front for playing content from memory sticks. One possible concern is the remote. Since all of the player's operations reside on the remote, damaging or losing it could be a problem. However, finding a replacement shouldn't be hard. The one minor gripe I have with the player & remote is that the remote is very small and compact, almost too small for my hand. If you want a compact blu-ray player that is not expensive, sets up in minutes, and plays DVDs and blu-ray disks without lots of added features the BP-350 should be just what you want.

DVD player maybe, but not for Netflix

We've loved our other LG products, but we had nothing but trouble with this one. It did play the one DVD we tested pretty well (other than an internet connectivity error popping up in the middle of it), but it was terrible for streaming Netflix. CONS: -Repeatedly froze up and had to be completely unplugged to reset. -Delayed/Laggy response to the remote. Sometimes it didn't register a button being pushed (no matter how hard it was pushed), and sometimes there was a lag before it would respond, then it would register several button pushes all at once and shoot too far forward down a list. The machine's response to the remote was just all around awful, and there are no buttons on the machine itself to use instead. -Constantly lost connectivity to the internet and popped up huge error messages about it even while watching DVDs (we had a PS3 before this, and it never lost wifi connection, not sure what the problem was). -Streaming Netflix shows would glitch sound or image or occasionally stop altogether. There was no buffering sign, no signal that internet had been lost, it would just stop. We've since returned this one and bought a higher priced Sony machine and no longer have any problems.

      P O S for streaming Netflix

We purchased this model bluray player and actually we ended up going through 3 of them and not a single one connected to Netflix, from the get go. Of course first thing I did was to check another app to see if it ran, and they all did, so I knew my wifi connection was fine. I'm not one to give up easily, so I called LG and Netflix. No help from LG other than to reset the device and when that didn't work, send it off for repair, I just got them today (return one bring another home to check). Netflix just flat out told me they have received many calls from issues with this particular device but have not been successful in fixing it. Their recommendation was to return it and get our money back. I even Googled some other options using my error codes and came up with multiple bad reviews of this device. I tried all Google options to try to fix our problem and nothing worked. So we're turning our third strike device and going with a different brand.

Great Streaming Device - after updating

It plays blu-ray discs beautifully out of the box but Streaming Apps, not so much. During setup it appears to do update but I suspect it only tells you update is needed. Netflix stuttered until update was completed. Once you go into setting and pick "Other" it allows you to check for software updates and it needed both a software and driver update. Once completed it worked flawlessly but it needs to download and install the update after which it will shut off. Now it runs the newer "version" of Netflix without problems, on an older player the background of Netflix is red and the writing is black, now the background in black and the writing is red, a nicer look too. You need to be able to perform updates as the streaming apps will evolve over time and change their format, the player must be able to update to keep up with them. This LG BP350 can do that. The other great capability I found is that it can now "deactivate" Netflix from a menu selection so you can turn it off - great if you are lending your blu ray player, selling it or have a rental property since you don't want other people using up one of your accesses. I haven't gotten into the Smart Hi-Fi yet since speakers aren't available here.....

I bought this Blu ray player on sale recently and was looking forward to the apps to connect to online content. I have been greatly disappointed. I was excited to watch baseball through the MLB app but that doesn't work on this unit because it can't handle their signal. While watching Netflix or Amazon Prime, the player hangs up and playback becomes choppy and the machine eventually freezes and becomes unresponsive. I can't even turn it off and have to unplug it. I also often have to re-enter my wifi password because the player loses the connection to my router. I worked with LG tech support several times to try to fix the problem and they finally offered my money back to apply to a new player. That was a couple of weeks ago and so the jury is still out about whether or not LG will make good on that promise.

I purchased this LG product and it kept freezing up on me as soon as it was booted up. Nothing worked... power switch, DVD/CD tray, etc. I had to disconnect the power cord, which meant whenever I turned it back on, I had to re-type my 16 character internet code again! I tried this 3 separate times. BTW... this LG product was an exchange for the Sony BDP-S3700 that I originally purchased. Another item to not waste your time or money on. Solution: Buy just a cheap DVD/Blu-Ray player that does NOT have streaming Wi-Fi and then purchase an Apple TV (no... not an actual TV. The little streaming device). After reading a lot of the same 1-star reviews here, it's a wonder ANY of these Blu-ray players with Wi-Fi work! BTW... 5 Stars to Best Buy for their incredibly hassle-free return policy!
