I bought this product despite the very poor reviews in the US and Australia. I have an IRobot 9S with very good suction and wanted to try a new brand and went with LG Cordzero R9 Wi-Fi. This robot vacuum cleaner has poor suction and very poor battery life. The wifi connection was fine for me - with zero dropouts in the few days that I had it. Others commented that their connection was poor also. The first day I charged the battery was about 5 hours and then let it vacuum for about 50 mins an area of 450sft and battery ran out. It charged again for 24 hours and vacuumed an area of 230sft for about 30 mins and the battery died. Very disappointing. I returned the product and received a refund. The suction is nowhere near the IRobot 9S. See pics below of cat litter left behind on the second vacuuming day. I do not recommend this product. It looks nice, the vacuum does not run into walls, and the noise is fairly low compared with other robot vacuums. You can select it to work in a zigzag or do edge cleaning pattern and it gets close to the wall and the suction increases when it reaches the edge of the floor which is great but it skips large areas and leaves a lot of dirt behind. The $999 price is very steep for such a poor performing product. Needs a lot of improvement.

At first I was thrilled with this unit. It did what it was supposed to do and well. Then it started having mapping issues. Would go back and clean areas that had already been cleaned, not cleaning an area that it was specifically sent to clean using the app. Contacted CS and was given instructions to reset. Solved the issue for about two weeks then it started having similar problems. Just did another reset but I've had it draw about five maps in the less than two months I've owned it. Will be contacting LG if this continues. Seems to have software issues however it cleans very well, easy to empty the bin and it's quiet. I really want to like this thing but it doesn't make it easy. Reminds me of someone I know... So, it when it works it works well and has many features you would expect for the price. Maybe a bit overthought and it trips on it's own tech?

The vacuum itself works great. Does really well on carpet also. The problem is with the mapping system. Doesn’t load the map and can’t set up separate zones.
