I love my new refrigerator! I did my research I read the reviews on different models & Brands. I finally settled on this one. I wasn’t too sure about the door in door but I love it! And my grandkids love knocking on the glass to turn the light on and see what’s in there lol. The only thing that I wish I was a little different is the light because the light is in the very front of the refrigerator when you open it so the back is not as Bright as I wish it was. Other than that it’s quiet. It makes enough ice for us. One of the reviews that I read was that the doors weren’t aligned correctly. So I had the delivery guys make sure that the doors were aligned Before the delivery guys left. I love the two freezers I use the top one for things that we use frequently and the bottom one right now has two turkeys in it and other items and there’s still room. So I believe you have to do your research read the reviews and then just go for it! Of course I’ve only had my refrigerator for about a month and a half so far so good!

This unit was purchased to replace a Samsung unit that died after only 13 years. This LG unit is really nice. It has a door in door with a view of the door contents without opening the unit. The temperature of both the refrigerator and freezer reached the set point quickly (a few hours) as apprised to the 2 days that our old unit took to reach temperature. I was concerned that the temperature of the door-in-door shelves would not be the same as the main compartment so I placed thermometers on the shelves and let them sit over night. As it turned out the door-in-door shelves were about 5 deg F warmer than the rest of the frig. So a setting of 35 F resulted in door shelf temp of about 40 F. This was ok for cheese, butter and beverages. There are only 2 in our household so leaving milk in the door did not seem like a good idea and we put the milk in the main compartment. The air circulation and humidity control are excellent. Fruits and vegetables stayed fresh and crisp for longer than we were used to. The deli tray was convenient but it could have used a couple of dividers for better organization. This unit had the black stainless steel finish which is really a dark gray instead of black. On disappointment wa that the doors were not magnetic so my wife had to find other places to post pictures of the grandkids. The freezer was a 2 drawer one and froze food quickly. The ice maker was hidden in the left door and made ice quickly, 3.5 lbs/day as the specs indicated. There is a tray in the freezer if you want to have a larger amount of ice but you have to manually dump the food ice into the tray. The freezer did not have an ice maker. In this model you can only have a second ice maker if you have a one drawer freezer. The one ice maker makes plenty of ice for our needs. This unit was wifi enabled. The ThinQ app allows you to view and set the temperatures and alerts you when the door is left open. Other than that it is not really worth it. The app allows you to inventory your food and alerts you to expiration dates. A task that would certainly be very time consuming. Having the ability to scan the food item bar codes would make this feature usable. All in all it’s a nice unit. It now remains to be seen if it will last more than 10 years.

Very attractive fridge with several handy features. We love the door-in-door feature and use it all of the time. We store our milk and creamer and a few other often used items there for quick access. The water/ice dispenser is large enough for our sports bottles. Doors, shelves and drawers seem to be of good quality. We love the double freezer drawers. They help to keep everything organized and in sight. I would have given it 5 stars, but the front doors do not line up! Even with adjusting them as indicated in the user manual there is still a very visible misalignment that drives me crazy. I found that one door hinge was mounted incorrectly and can’t be moved. I think that for this much money the doors should be aligned and look nice. Best Buy didn’t give me a problem with exchanging the fridge, but after an attempted delivery appointment and several changed rescheduled appointments almost 2 months of going back and forth with Best Buy I still don’t have my replacement. The new date is 10/21. We’ll see if it arrives with level doors!
