Well-Rounded Smart Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having previously owned a couple Pebble smart watches (both the original and the Steel), one of my main complaints was that clearing notifications on the watch would not clear them from my phone; I would have to unlock my phone and manually clear any notifications I had, even though I'd already seen and acknowledged them from my watch. This also applied the other way around; if I opened up a notification on my phone, it wouldn't necessarily clear from the Pebble. Not really a bad thing, per se, but still an annoyance nonetheless. Since the LG G watch runs on Android Wear, it has much tighter integration with the OS itself, allowing for two-way notification syncing. Once you open or clear a notification on one device, it'll also clear on the other! The screen itself is pretty vibrant and colorful. Brightness is adjustable by six steps, and even at the lowest brightness the screen was easily readable. When the watch is in idle mode (black and white), the display isn't overly-distracting or bright - I'd consider it a good middle ground for what it is. The voice recognition is pretty powerful and accurate. Certain apps, like Gmail and Google Hangouts, support replying directly from the watch itself, either through simple pre-made canned responses or voice replying. I love using the voice commands while I'm in the car to start up a playlist from my Google Play Music account (saying "OK Google, play Amnesia by Justin Timberlake" will play the song and at the same time creates/plays a playlist from your library or All Access account ). There's a whole slew of voice commands available, and I've been finding myself using them much more frequently out of sheer convenience. Having used the watch for just under a month now as of this writing, my only complaints would be the surrounding the battery life and the charging cradle. I'm a relatively heavy user, so the watch typically only lasts me about a day and a half. It's not that big of a deal-breaker, since I understand that it's still a first-gen product and I don't mind having to charge my devices everyday. However, the fact that it only lasts a day and a half basically means that I have to carefully consider when I'll need to actually charge my device since the charging cradle is proprietary, meaning that I'd have to also potentially carry around the cradle with me. (FWIW, Google does offer extra cradles from the Google Play site now!) I purchased a metal band from another website to replace the stock rubber/silicone band. The watch looks amazing with a decent metal band! Also worth mentioning: at the time of this writing, there aren't any model-specific Zagg Invisible Shields for this watch. However, if you're looking to protect the glass screen from scratches, I did find that the Zagg Invisible Shields for the Samsung Gear 2 watches fir nearly perfectly on the face of the LG G Watch! (See included picture) All-in-all, if you're seriously considering jumping onto the wearable tech craze, then you won't be disappointed with LG's offering!

LG - G Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This a wonderful product. My company recently started a no cell phone work policy out on the floor. So the G watch allows me to view my calls and text from family and friends. Without violating company policies. Its sleek and has a long battery life.

Great watch for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lasts about 40 hours with continuous display on and about 70 hours with continuous display turned off. Some useful applications where you don't need to take out your phone -Getting and reading news snippets directly on the watch -Controlling music playback (Play music, pandora etc.) -Health/activity tracking (Runtastic pro, VimoFit, Google Fit etc.) -Responding to texts -Knowing when a call arrives and the phone is somewhere around you but not with you -Driving directions (different vibration sensations)

Great Smartwatch That Wrecks The Apple Watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the LG G Watch when it was on sale for $80 at Best Buy and came with a $50 Google Play gift-card. From having owned the Moto 360 and returned it, I must say that this is a great product. The battery life on the G Watch is about a day's greater than what I could get out of my 360. It can easily last 2-3 days without a hitch. Reading notifications on a square display is much better than on a round one. The performance is much faster than the 360 with it using a more powerful Snapdragon 400 rather than the older TI O-MAP on the 360.

Fun toy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's definitely the first version, but it was done well. It has good battery life and Google and LG have done a good job keeping it up to date. At $150, it's a good buy, but I wouldn't spend more than that on it. It's great for seeing who is calling without digging into my pocket. I love know whether or not the vibration of my phone is a text message or a FB notice. It's not perfect, but I have heard that Google has another big update planned soon.

Simple (if not very attractive) smart watch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hadn't really planned on getting a smart watch, but this was on a sale (with a Google Play gift card bonus) that I could not pass up. Only thing I wish is that the black band version had been available. I've found all sorts of uses for this that I would not have thought of (use it as a remote for taking photos with your phone! - get turn by turn navigation on your wrist as you drive!). Battery lasts long enough that I only need to charge it every other night.

Good watch if you can get it at a good price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Same software as all the other more expensive Android wear watches for a lot less money. I wanted the moto 360 but could not justify the price. I purchased the g watch for $80 on sales. Good watch for the price. The rubber band is not great but can be swapped out for any standard 22mm watch band. Size of the face is not as large as I thought it would be. The thickness is a little more than a standard watch but is easy to get used to.
