I did my research before buying this phone. I wanted a camera that would not disappoint in manual or automatic mode. I wanted a phone that would take an SD card to keep my photos on without slowing down the phone due to full memory issues . I also wanted the option for a removable battery. I got what I wanted from this phone. If you have had an LG flag ship phone in the past, this doesn't disappoint. The only problem (personal use) is I would like longer battery life for the 3000 ma. That it has. I'll admit I take Alot of pictures with my phones. So 1/2 star for the battery and the other half for kind of clunky software

I believe this phone is alot better then the lg g2

I had an LG G2 and actually lived with an older phone for 5 months waiting for the release of the G2 which performed flawlessly for over a year until I accidentally broke it (insert dumb home renovation task). I chose to buy the G4 at that time as a replacement. SCREEN: Better than G2 was. The G4 screen size is bigger. It's actually the same size as the Samsung Note 4 surprisingly. It is higher resolution and very easy to read/view/look at. The edges of the screen continue farther outward to the edges (bezel size is smaller). The touch sensitivity is consistent and as good or better than my G2's was. CASE: The new case styling is ultra sleek. I chose the blue diamond style over the leather not for any real reasons. I just liked it's appearance but it does come in variations - burgundy, silver/gray and even a leather. I like the curved back (see below) even more as time goes on. I did buy a minimalist protection case that is clear but only because I work in home remodeling and dirt/dust and "ooops!" happen. TECH: The technology is better now with the ability to add memory if you chose (G2 had no memory upgrade) even while I never found this phone to lack in memory storage but it's nice to know it can be upgraded. The CPU/GPU et al are faster. The camera is very good; rendering high resolution images quickly. The audio is better (see below). I especially like the built-in flashlight app in the pull-down status bar. LG removed the 6 scrolling screens for apps in favor of 2, plus their Smart screen which I may say is the only thing that's taken some getting used to. I never liked filling up a screen with popular/frequently used apps before and now I must since I have only 2 but with the added functionality the G4 has, I have realized I don't really need to scroll through 6 screens to find an app. GENERAL: Appearance of the phone is awesome - most minimal edges or bezel of any phone I've owned since 1992. Dimensionally it's very thin and with a curved back which is where the speaker is located (not on the end like the G2). This concerned me at first - not having the speakers on the end of the phone's case because I use my phone daily to play music while I work. However, I can report that somehow the G4's audio quality has improved even with this change. In fact I have noticed that I have turned-down the audio settings on almost all things because this phone is louder. Nice! In my family, almost everyone is Samsung and I know there is a large market share that is Apple but I took my time and focused on reviews, ratings and side x side comparisons and chose to go LG for my phone again. I mean they make great home appliances which we've had and they all stood the test of time (ie: washer & dryer are over 10 yrs old and still working flawlessly) so I had faith in their quality of workmanship and materials already. My LG G4 phone is the best so far.
