Camera: The wide angle lens is absolutely AMAZING for taking some nice shots of kids. This camera is better than my iphone 7+ in normal lighting and similar results in low lighting. You will LOVE this camera unless you compare it to a DSLR. Speed: SUPER Slick. Some guy complained this is last years specs... That is stupid, it is the same processor as Google Pixel and cost about $100 less than the S8 and Pixel. It is PLENTY fast. The pixel has been constantly praised for speed yet he wants to complain by comparing it to a phone that isn't even officially out yet... Size: Very easy to hold and grip with one hand. I don't mind big phones (also own iphone 7+) but this is still a refreshing feel. Display: Much more vibrant and gorgeous than I expected. It really is fantastic. It's sharp, bright and colorful without being weird. The Galaxy S8 will likely have a slightly better display overall but this is VERY impressive. Durability: This is a TANK for a glass phone. Much safer bet than the S8 and S7 Edge due to curved glass screens that are much more likely to hit the ground when dropped. Haven't needed to test this and hopefully won't have to but so far all the durability reports are amazing so far. See jerryrigeverything video on youtube if you like. Software: LG's software is good and easy to use. I like that multiple call options come up when I'm on the phone with someone. The settings is easy to navigate and the notification shade is super easy to use.

To preface my review I want to say that I typically buy used or unlocked phones. I like cell phones and am always trying different/new ones. That being said, I signed the 2 year "finance" deal for this phone when they offered it for half price. I was willing to commit to this phone for 24 months because that good. The screen is very good, 5.7" packed into a phone barely larger than a 5" iPhone 7. The bezels are tiny, which I really like. The only different thing is the screen corners are rounded, not square. But I'm used to it now and I don't even notice anymore. The phone is is extremely fast and responsive, no lag at all. It has plenty of RAM and a good processor to accomplish any task. It has dual window mode where you can use two applications at once, one on the top half of the screen and the second on the bottom half. This is extremely useful as I use this as my work phone as well. So copy/pasting for emails or messages is super easy. Battery life has been great too, I get 3+ hours of screen on time with a couple hours of phone calls per day no problem. And that's with GPS, email push sync, auto screen brightness, WiFi and using Google services all on for the entire day. Lastly, the camera is awesome. I am not fancy photographer, but the auto mode works great. And the super-wide mode is really cool, it's amazing how much you can capture in one shot. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone looking for a new android phone. And if you can get it while its half off its a no brainer.

I like the form factor of this phone, it has a flat screen, and nice curved ends. Battery life seems on par with most other flag ship devices, screen is very nice, crisp and clear. OS is snappy with no lag, does have some bloat wear on it, but not samsung amount of bloat, and the LG overlay is very unobtrusive. The ip rating and shock resistant is a comfort. Speaker phone is good and clear and has plenty of volume to it. Overall a great experience. I have had the Mate 9, Samsung Galaxy S8Plus, and iphone plus, and I prefer the LG G6 over all of them.
