I had the LG G2 and loved it. The G6 is very similar, but taller and totally updated and upscaled. Perfectly flat on both sides with curved corners and fully loaded with great features like Google Assistant, HD calling, NFC, OIS, Quick Charge 3, etc. Metal and glass materials make for a beautiful flagship - right up there with the S8 and iPhone. LG software is smooth and fast with no stuttering. Large battery gets me through a full day with moderate use. Fingerprint reader is perfectly placed! Feels and looks great. Confident to use. My wife has the Samsung S8, which has a gorgeous, oversaturated, blazingly bright, curved, Amoled screen, but is overly narrow with a lot of exposed glass. The G6 is only slightly wider, but still fits in the hand and has a nice flat-screen LCD with colors and brightness that are more natural and not as garish. The S8 is beautifully smooth and rounded all over, but it's VERY slippery, so a case is almost mandatory all the time. The G6 has has metal sides with smooth edges, so it's attractive, but more confident to grip. It feels more natural in my hand without a case, which is how I use it at home or in a carpeted office. Both are top-notch phones with great cameras and almost no bezels. But like the S5 and S6 I owned, Samsung is always in your face, downplaying the perfectly fine Google apps and pushing you into their own world of duplicate apps, services and themes - even including a 4th prominently placed button for Bixby, their not-fully-functional version of an assistant. The G6 is upscale but more unassuming. Just 2 buttons on the side, LG gets out of the way and let's you enjoy the experience of a well-rounded, quality, flagship phone. There are no headphones in the box and only a limited number of cases are available, but that's OK. Everything on the phone comes together and works well all the time, so the overall experience feels very complete and satisfying.

I've had the LG g3, g4 and now the g6. I was amazed that a phone with a 5.7 inch screen can feel so compact. The screen aspect ratio took a day to get used to and now it's great for reading and viewing web pages. The g6 has been a great phone.

I love my lg g6. I recently had a Samsung. The selling feature for me was the bigger screen, crack & water resistant. When it was time for my upgrade getting a bigger size and a phone when dropped wouldn't crack were my priorities. So far I am very happy with my phone. I love the bigger size, the clarity, and how clear my pictures look. I love the fact that I do not have to charge my phone every four hours which I had to do with my Samsung. I literally I have gone a couple of days and not charged my phone. My one disappointment when purchasing the phone is that there was no car charger. a So I have to buy one which is something I haven't had to do. I think for the price it should be included. Other than that very happy with my purchase and glad I got this instead of the Samsung 8.
