Neat idea, imperfectly applied
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited to use this new method for tracking pulse. I find the chest band to be a pain and uncomfortable so I was hoping this would be a great new option. I will say that it does do a good of measuring your pulse and oxygen, but it has some drawbacks. First the app appears to force you to sign into the web. That worked where I tested it, but I like to hike in places that do not always have coverage. It shouldn't require you to be online. It also made me sign in several times. I also didn't love the ear pieces. They fit okay and were fairly comfortable, but the cord was thick and I found myself not liking how it fit. I liked the separate bluetooth module because I sometimes have problems with headset ones cutting out and because this was lower on my body it never did. I did not like that it lowered the volume of what I was listening to and then wouldn't let me pause what was behind it. I also couldn't tell what triggered it to give me an update. On the workout I would have preferred that it tell me whenever I changed zones, but I had to look at that myself. Overall a good idea, but imperfectly designed.

Works OK as bluetooth headphones, but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.OK, they're nice Bluetooth headphones, but you can get nicer headphones for less. Check your app store before buying these as they are likely no longer supported. I had great ideas about using these for my parents fitness program and since we use LG Nexus 4 smartphones, what could go wrong? yep, even tho' they're LG and we use LG, these don't work on the N4 phones for their primary purpose - heart rate monitors and all the other info the LG app is supposed to track - can't track it if it won't work in your phone.. LG falls prey to the same marketing devices most other companies do - push it out and see if it sells, then provide support - maybe. So, as far as headphones go these are OK. The sound is nice for podcast listening and occasional music, but the reproduction is a bit tinny (very little low end/bass). Then there is the little in-ear-keeper, I believe they're called sharks (?). I know why and it's not because of the fin-like appearance, but - after about 5 minutes it feels like there's a shark attached to your ear by its teeth. After only a short time, these are pretty uncomfortable and after more than 10 minutes they were painful. I tried each of the different sized keepers and none worked comfortably, though they were very effective at keeping the phone in my ear for light exercise like jogging and cycling. I wish I had been able to check them out before the return period had expired - I would have returned them. (bought two sets for companion exercising)

Works as advertised!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was on the look out for a heart rate monitor that did not require a chest strap. I was skeptical that it would work, but to my surprise it works great. The only con that I have is that it only works when paired with the LG fitness app (you also have to create an account), which requires some internet connectivity to log into your account. Looking at the data usage it is very minimal. All in all very happy with the device.

Good Quality Earbuds, Great heart rate accuracy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Earbuds are very nice and sound pretty good. The built in Heart Rate monitor seems to be very accurate and I love the voice prompts that let you know what your Heart Rate is during certain intervals of your workout. To bad they couldn't integrate everything in to the earbuds instead of having a small box hooked up to them for the Heart Rate monitoring but its not a huge deal. I bought these Earbuds thinking that they would work with MapMyFitness out of the box but that isn't the case. I just hope that this feature comes very soon. The option to share LG's Fitness Heart Rate data with MapMyFitness is there but it is grayed out and says that it will be supported in the future.

Two great products in one!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't reflect on battery life at this point, because I haven't used them more than a handful of times and it's still going strong, but they are convenient to use. Having bluetooth headphones and not needing to worry about having a chest strap or carrying phone since there isn't an arm band for it yet. Thanks to the adjustable sizing, they fit nicely. I've worn them once with my Polar HR monitor (which I didn't sync to my LG software) and it was right on target. It was nice hearing the announcement of my HR so I could stay in a specific zone for training.

not that great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.fits in the ear... works ok just walking around... it tends to lose connection and loses the hear rate if one exercises vigorously. Fell apart before the year was up..

Excellent Earbuds and Monitor!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like this product! Earbuds are very comfortable! They fit very securely. They sound tremendously better than my wired buds. The monitor works very well especially in tandem with LG Lifeband. Would definitely recommend both items together.

Needs work for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Power button failed after one month. Specifically one day past warranty. The idea and heartrate readings were great as well as the comfort. The app needs a lot of work for this to be someone's regular Running app. Does not come close to comparing with Nike plus app or run keeper. I can't recommend it yet.
