  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Instead, high temperature water is produced during the final rinse cycle which warms the interior and eventually condensates and drains out of the machine.)
    • Operating Sound Level: 40 decibels adjusted (Today's appliances are pretty quiet. To get a sense for how quiet you'll need, think about having a conversation in the same room. Q: Does this model have an interior tub light?

A: yes and its awesome! didn't know I was getting that

Q: Does it dry plastics well without using the extra dry function? Do items in the 3rd rack dry well too?

A: Yes, it does... This an excellent product and at least for me, it works very well in any kind of cycle

Q: Can this be used as a panel built in dishwasher?

A: No you cannot remove the front to give it the built in look.

Q: Thanks GerryD/Venette for a speedy reply to Overall Height. But, what is the actual dimension of the dishwasher? My 1-1/2" thick countertop is installed at standard 36" high. At 35-11/16" H, as DW is listed, countertop could only be 1/4" thick. Thanks!

A: The height of the counter top is 36"? I just installed this dishwasher with the same counter top height and had about 1/4" of clearance on top. It does fit snug, but looking at your question it would not mean the counter top would be 1/4" thick. Go to best buy and measure for yourself if you are worried about fitment, that way you know for sure.

Q: Does this unit have a heating element for drying or does it just use steam?

A: It does not have a heating element. It uses a condenser to remove the moisture from the air (similar to an AC unit) and then drains the water away.

Q: Does the wiring come with for power hookup? Do drain hoses and water supply?

A: When you buy the dishwasher it gives you an option to get a kit. The kit has the power cord and water hose needed. (Not included with the dishwasher). The LG Studio has a drain hose included (thicker than most because it has a noise canceling wrap on it.)

Q: Does this come with a plug-in cord or does it have to be hardwired?

A: Can be wired either way. I used a plug in connection after attaching power cable.
