When we purchased our house a decade ago, it came with a very dependable heat-coiled-designed Maytag. At that time, we did not know that it was a heat coil even because it was covered in white. I guess calcium deposit? This dishwasher must have been very old. And who are we to tell that it was anything but. The dishes would always come out clean, warm, and dry! Until it died last month, hence, the purchase of this washer.
I have a LG Refrigerator, the one that has that window door that you can knock the door to view the inside of your fridge. This fridge is nice and has about the same feature as my other fridge, a 34 cu ft Samsung refrigerator. I am not a brand loyal, even though I use Samsung Galaxy phones since the Galaxy S2 and the Note 2, I also own the iPhone 11, iPad Pro 11, and iPad Pro 12.9. The reason why I am sharing this, my experience with LG is through the usage of my refrigerator. I like how beautiful it is, the finish on the outside, the compartments on the inside, and of course the ice compartment that is hidden in the door panel. So in essence, I trust LG because of owning the appliance.
The pandemic has made it challenging to go to the store and shop for appliances. I know for such a huge amount and basically investing on an appliance you'd want it to function for more than 5 or more years - you'd want to touch it, look at it up close, and ask the store associate questions about the product; get recommendations even. But I did not do anything of that and purchased this dishwasher just looking at it through the Best Buy app. Because I know that LG is a good brand (although I have never owned a LG smartphone) based on my experience, I am so happy to say that I made a good choice. This dishwasher is so quiet and high tech, informing me that my dishes (cleaning cycle) is done. Although it does not dry like my old Maytag, the dishes still came out as clean or even more cleaner? I don't know if that is possible :)
I am still learning how to position my dishes though. The 3rd rack is throwing me off and need to arrange things differently. I have not used the "half" or section washing, selecting the lower or upper cycle. I guess, I just have so much dishes to wash at the end of the day, there was no need for me to see/test it.
Would I recommend this dishwasher? Yes, absolutely!
I love my new dishwasher!! I can fit so many dishes into it and they always come out looking perfect! The light is great but does not stay on for too long. I did have an issue with the lower rack - one of the wheels came off - but I reached out to LG and they quickly sent me an entire new lower rack!! I am so happy I bought this one. Although I would recommend in a fingerprint resistant color if they make it.
Overall happy with the dishwasher so far. It fits so many dishes and provides a lot of flexibility. Cleans the dishes very well. It looks great and is super quiet too.
I only have 2 complaints and the first is pretty annoying. It doesn't dry the dishes well at all, like almost none. We have to use the overnight drying cycle to get it to do a halfway decent job. Second complaint is that the wi-fi connection setup is terrible. I haven't been able to getvit to work yet, and I'm in I.T.
So based on all that, I feel that 4 out of 5 stars is appropriate.
I can't believe how much better this dishwasher works than our old one. It uses less water, and the instructions discourage rinsing to save additional water. The interior LED lighting make the clean dishes sparkle and shine like new...nothing like production value!
There is a wi-fi interaction that uses an app, but it's very difficult to figure out. I'm not sure it works with Apple's iOS.
Dishwasher does a good job at getting dishes clean and dry. Super quiet when running. Hooks up to the thin-q app from LG, but that is experience is not really worth the time as no really useful information is gained. Basically just get a notification that the cycle ended. I guess time will tell if I ever have to use the maintenance alerts.
I love this dishwasher. It is modern, provides light and plenty of space to load it up full for my family of four. It's super quiet, and the green light that illuminates when the cycle is finished is very helpful. Our previous dishwasher was a GE that I hated for 10 years, but tolerated while we did other home improvements. So glad I finally got this one!
Love the top rack--didn't think I would, but it is perfect for utensils and small dishes and lids. Capacity is great. Flexible control options. And the light! Thought that was over the top, BUT how did we do without it? Dishes come out super clean.
We can’t hear this dishwasher when it’s running - awesome!! Absolute quality washing and can hold a lot of dishes! Third rack for small items is very convenient! Installation was quick, professional and safe!!
A:AnswerThe LG - STUDIO 24" Top Control Smart Wi-Fi Dishwasher - QuadWash - TrueSteam -Steel Tub with Light - PrintProof Black Stainless Steel, Model # LSDT9088BD does not come with an attached power cord. It has to be hardwired. If your local codes and ordinances allow you to attach a plug, the outlet must be within 4 feet on either side of the dishwasher and must be easily accessible...^IFV

A:AnswerWhich cycle did you just run on the LG STUDIO 24" Top Control Smart Wi-Fi Dishwasher - QuadWash - TrueSteam -Steel Tub with Light - Stainless Steel, Model # LSDT9908ST and did you leave the dishes to dry overnight? When dishes are often left overnight after the cycle ends, the steam inside the tub can condense on the dishes leaving them wet. The Night Dry option runs the ventilation fan periodically to help vent the steam from the tub. It is is selected by default on all cycles for which it is available, except the Normal cycle. If you ran the dishes in the Normal cycle, to add the Night Dry option to the Normal cycle, press and hold Extra Dry for 3 seconds. Rinse aid helps to ensure that the majority of the water has been sheeted off of the dishes at the end of the rinse and that the load is ready for the dry cycle. The cloudy film on your dishes after the wash is usually caused by minerals in the water reacting with the dishwasher detergent. First, be certain not to use too much detergent. Refer to Adding Detergent to the Dispenser section for recommended detergent amounts. Add an extra rinse to the cycle. LG Dishwashers use less water than traditional dishwashers, so adding an extra rinse aids in rinsing the film away. If the water supply is hard, it may be necessary to add a performance booster that addresses the hard water condition. Water tends to bead rather than sheet off plastic and nonstick surfaces, making them more difficult
to dry. If washing plastic items in a Normal cycle, select the Extra Dry or Night Dry option or both for
better drying results. When the rinse aid is empty, the Extra Dry option is selected automatically. Allow the dishwasher to completely finish the dry cycle before opening the door. If the door is opened in the middle of the dry cycle, the heat that is necessary for the hybrid dry system to work will escape. This will cause all of the dishes inside to remain wet once the cycle finishes...^IFV
A:AnswerYes, this dishwasher will connect to SmartThings hub and Google home. I have provided a link to the support document at lg.com.(https://www.lg.com/us/support/help-library/connecting-lg-laundry-washerdryer-to-google-assistant-amazon-alexa-lg-smartthinq-CT10000009-20150665369722)

A:AnswerWe appreciate you bringing this to our attention. This unit is not panel ready. A panel ready appliance allows a custom cover to be installed on the face or the front of the appliance that matches the rest of your cabinetry. Most often, this is seen on refrigerators and dishwashers and creates a consistent, streamlined look across your whole kitchen. PrintProof Stainless is a fingerprint and smudge resistant finish that is magnetic.
