I own an ASUS IPS and another LG IPS 4K panel and this panel blows them out the water. Colors are the best I’ve ever seen and the response time set to FAST is very snappy and responsive. I wouldn’t recommend the FASTEST response time since it introduces some ghosting and overshoot. However, there might be some games out there where it would be beneficial. I mostly play FPS. Build quality and the stand are what you would expect from LG. If you are looking for an IPS for gaming, this is it! Honestly stunned coming from an LG 4K IPS panel as a daily driver and for gaming! Also Xbox one X looks fantastic on the 1440p setting on this monitor. I haven't used the Aorus 27’, but I imagine this is its direct competition. This panel is G-sync compatible and no issues thus far! HDR is good in my opinion, but I can only compare to another HDR10 panel. I don’t think this panel meets the HDR400 spec, but I think it’s good enough for gaming.

Went back and fourth on a few different monitors, after careful review and checking out multiple sites on this particular model i chose to go with this one. so far very good blacks and grey uniformity and display everything i put on it perfectly. From Gaming to Video editing this thing handles anything you throw at it without any issues. Its a must grab if you have the budget and all honestly it out performs that i tired in a higher price point. I can't really find any cons to right down for people to read. monitor does have a external power brick which for most that's a con to me it doesn't bother me at all. The monitor comes with all the cables to get you started, i had to order my own display port cable because of length issues but other then that i have everything I need. The monitor stand is nice and sturdy, it has red lining on the flair of the legs some don't like the color, but for me its fine since my favor color is red. The monitor is well build and strong it also comes with a clip for the cable on the back of the monitor stand to hold cable and a little cable management. Conclusion this thing is a beast i give it a 9/10 when i factor everything in. Thank you for taking the time to read this review. hope this helps with your purchase.

This is my first 1440p monitor and I LOVE it! It's a open box special that came in the original box and looked perfect. I wouldn't have known it was open box if the site hadn't said so. Huge discount for that, plus cash back points on my credit card got me $150 off retail price! I of course paid off the credit card before it was due, so no interest. But, you're not here to read about that. You're here to read about the monitor. Let me say this...if it dies, I'll buy another one just like it. The resolution settings "Gamer, Gamer2, Vivid, etc.) are very useful. Sometimes, you'll want a different setting when you're gaming than if you're streaming Amazon Prime Video, for example. If you do a lot of reading at your PC in an online course for example, this monitor has you covered. It has a second HDMI port which comes in handy if you want hook a second device such as a laptop, tablet, or gaming console to it. If you want to be a Twitch streamer, be sure to get 2 of these monitors, but maybe smaller. You can't go wrong. The display is beautiful and it has a 144mhz refresh rate. I'm running a GTX 1070 (best I could find during the chip shortage) with a Ryzen 3900x CPU and haven't seen any tearing during gaming. Just be patient and look for a discount so you're not paying retail price if you have time to wait. Just a side note, you're probably wondering about my desktop in the pictures. I'm running a modified version of Windows 10. I don't like the plain, bland Windows 10 Start button, so I changed it back to the Windows 7 style. :)
