Worth every penny!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this monitor a couple weeks ago when it was on sale. $800 is definitely a steal, but for the quality that this brings, it’s well worth the $1500. The vivid colors on the screen, the speakers in the monitor, the speed when gaming, THE ANTI GLARE… chefs kiss! I also use this for work (split my screen 4 ways) and it feels like i have 4 regular monitors within the one—it’s amazing. I will never go back to a smaller monitor again!!

A GAME CHANGER!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this monitor for close to two months & I love it every time I look at it. The deep inky blacks are so distracting. The 4k clarity in all of my games are what rejuvenated a huge part of me that had been missing since I was a kid. I completed this purchase 9/7/22 & I have logged 266 hours on my monitor so far. YES IT WILL TELL YOU! & not a single issue. OLED CARE I play & use with the OLED screen care every day all day. There is a couple of settings to prevent any burn in. The image & pixel cleaning that are part of the OLED screen savers setting. They clean the screen while the screen is off after longer sessions. Maybe anything over 2 hours will give you a cleaning reminder. There is also a setting called Screen Move which will move your screen at the speed of light every minute or so so that not all pixels are just shining the same thing. It is a little noticeable in the day time because sometimes you will notice a bezel is bigger then the other ones. This actually makes me happy knowing that feature is working. No burn ins 266 hours after use. I play a lot of Minecraft which is notorious for burn ins with the HUD at the bottom. THE BAD This monitor is next to perfect. The price is a little high, but I found a 1200 deal which was not too bad. It is almost the price of my computer tho, but the experience is worth it. Im sure I have not gotten all of its value yet. I am sure I will. I purchased the 4 year warranty so I am protected. People need to know... This is not a TV. No dolby vision (not mainstream for games). This is a gaming monitor. This is mainly for the PC gamers but I could see this being great for XBSX/PS5. THE GOOD The whole thing is good. Bright colors, Bright panel, Anti-glare, 4k, OLED, 138 HZ, Clarity, OLED

Two thumbs up!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Considering I purchased the item on sale… I can’t say enough good things about this monitor. Beautiful rich colors, stunning 4K images at 120 frames/sec…. My only criticism is reserved for the 100x100 bracket pattern on such a large monitor. It puts limitations on what wall mount you really should purchase for it. The universal mounting systems (I.e. Sanus) with the long bracket rails may put mild strain on the connections where you plug in HDMI/Display Port cables.

Amazing Monitor! Not a TV.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As long as you understand this isn’t a TV and is in fact a gaming monitor, you’ll love this monitor (as long as 48” isn’t too big for you). This monitor has been perfect for me and pairs nicely with my new RTX 3080, colors look amazing (of course, it is OLED), and refresh rate is perfect. Having G-Sync also really helps and HDR gaming on Windows 11 has proved it’s worth! Is a tad bit pricey, but I’m my opinion, if you have $1,500 to even consider it, it’s worth the price. I got it on sale for $1,299. I know people choose the C2 over this monitor, but I’m happy with this monitor over the C2, due to the alone fact that this has DisplayPort and OC to 138hz, where as the C2 doesn’t. It does have 3 HDMI 2.1 ports, which make it also perfect for the PS5 and Xbox Series X. I have yet to have any issues with the monitor other than the DisplayPort cable it came with was broke, but that has nothing to do with the Display. Only thing I wish is that it had a 42” variant.

Great OLED monitor.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are interested in OLED and not looking towards the LG C2 TV, get this monitor if its on sale. Granted I purchased this during Black Friday deals where it went as low as $899 compare to its $1499 price tag (At that point go with the LG C2). If you are someone looking for something more than just HDMI 2.1 ports, you'll want this monitor since it is also equipped with DisplayPort 1.4 (if on sale). Truthfully if you want OLED, I recommend going for the LG C2 if this monitor isn't on sale. If you do need other ports and simply want a monitor without any of the SmartTV functionality, get this. But to me the regular price tag is a bit much for it. But note that 48" is a large size and I recommend at minimum a 31" desk depth or more. If ya think its too big, LG is releasing a new 27" oled next year for $999. One more thing, this is a matte finish (not glossy like the TV lineup).

Perfect Monitor For Me
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried EVERYTHING on my desk and so far this monitor ticks all of the boxes for me. The image quality is as good as anything out there (I replaced a Sony A90K with this and I kicked the Alienware QD-OLED upstairs to my daughter, so I've got plenty of great panels to compare to). The low profile stand puts the screen at a perfect height for where I sit and means I don't need to use a mount. I love that it's a monitor and not a TV; DisplayPort is a big deal to me, and being able to wake with my PC rather than having to power on with a remote is huge. The matte coating is the real winner for my setup though. I have a large window behind me and reflections are killer. This monitor has absolutely ZERO issues handling that, and then at night it's even better. I wasn't sure what I would think about an OLED with a matte coating but it just feels right. It's a strange analogy, but the best thing I can say is it's like having a really large, really clear computer monitor. That's the effect of the anti-glare coating. For gaming, it's fast, responsive and handles motion as well as anything I've ever used. Maybe it's just to my eyes but I feel like the anti-glare combined with the OLED means I see small fine details I wasn't seeing on other panels. There isn't a single game I've tried that hasn't made me say "wow" so far. I did override Windows color settings to make sure that Nvidia 10-bit was on and I checked "reference mode" as well. That seems to be getting me the best results. I'm not using the speakers, but I did for a day or so, and they really aren't half bad, especially compared to what's out there. A few things I would change: the auto-brightness limiter is indeed aggressive, and would bug me if I did more content creation and/or tried to use this screen for work, but if the trade off is the monitor stays healthy, I can live with it. The headphone jack on the front is a great idea. The fact that I can see the port glinting out of the corner of my eye is not. It could be blended with the border of the monitor better. Lastly, the "remote" is a good idea and works as intended, but I wish it were just a tad smaller sitting on my desk. Overall, extremely pleased with my purchase, especially at this price.

||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love it! Got it during Christmas for insane price of $699. This was a steal and so worth it. Looks beautiful and I use it to play PC games and my PS5. I would definitely recommend this monitor. After six months of using it, I haven’t experienced any eye strain or issues which I was really worried about. Best purchase!

Q: QuestionWould you rather this monitor or the C2 42in?
Asked by Guslcjr.
- A:Answer It depends. If you need a dedicated monitor for your PC, it has more PC oriented features than the C2. If you’re like me and game more on consoles than PC, a TV is a better choice than a monitor anyway as it has features that lean more towards consoles than PCs. Other factor is Size. 48in is a big monitor to sit up close to. I returned mine because it was too big for my desk to be able to sit comfortably and type or game with a keyboard and mouse while sitting that close. If you wait there are newer 42in OLED PC monitors from other brands that have PC features releasing soon. Again comes down to if you can tolerate size and usage.

Q: QuestionHow is this monitor used as aa genearl all purpose display from streaming movies to playing games
Asked by snake.
- A:Answer its great but where it really shines is as a computer monitor. the only thing is that if you're too close you get that weird motion blur/studder like sitting too close to a movie screen.

Q: QuestionCan this monitor be desk mounted? Does anyone know the specs for the mount?
Asked by Josephj.
- A:Answer Hello there. Thank you for reaching out. For model: #48GQ900-B.AUS The specs are: With Stand(WxHxD) 42.2" x 25.9" x 7.3" Without Stand(WxHxD): 42.2" x 24.6" x 1.8". Can the UltraGear be mounted to the wall. Yes, all monitors can be mounted. The vast majority of monitors today come with a mounting plate on the back, which makes it extremely easy to use popular monitor mounting products. Even older monitors or old CRTs that don't have this setup can still be mounted. `Jai.
