Drys my boots just like it says but the odor button sensor does not work

This was a gifr for my brother in law that is a roofer and he uses this all the time.

We have tried this item two times. The first item's LED, which shows that the product is "on," never lit up and the fan power seemed minimal. We exchanged that item for a new one and the LED on the new item still doesn't work. We are unsure if the fan velocity is working as expected because the LED won't turn on (i.e. we don't know if the non-functioning LED is indicative of other issues). There is also no way to tell if the deodorizer feature works as we don't know when it is on or off. This product works, but we don't know if it's working to the best of its ability.
