Lifestraw - Go 2-Stage Water Filter Bottle - Clear

I am an employee of Best Buy and had the opportunity to test the Lifestraw Go water bottle & filtration system. I live across the street from a beautiful, but very dirty and smelly man-made lake. After learning that Lifestraw protects against bacteria, dirt, parasites, etc., plus improves water taste I decided the best place to test would be our lake. I have attached some pictures to the review to show just how dirty the water was before filtration - it was yellowish with all sorts of particles floating around. I was a little nervous but went for it and took a healthy slug. And…drumroll…it tasted like regular water from my tap. Pretty crazy. Then when I set the bottle down my three-year-old took a giant drink and just thought it was normal water. I would recommend this product for hiking and camping.

I like it. It is a little on the heavy side. Water tastes like plastic; so I am using clean water in it and keep refilling it in hopes to get the plastic taste to off-gas prior to using it in the out of doors. I think it is a handy thing to have for camping, it states it gets rid of most of the micro-organisms. I started using it about 3 days ago. And the plastic taste is starting to go away (I have refilled it about 4 times.) For every one of these we buy, the company says it donates clean water hardware for students in areas where water is not clean.

Love to take this with me on glamping trips knowing im safe if I run out of fresh water! You just have to get used to having to pull in the flow of water through the filtered straw. Tested it out and works great! Water was clear and tasted clean! I will survive in a pinch with this one!

I take this everywhere! Easy to use but when trying to pull the water it can be a little tough sometimes.

What’s better than clean and clear drinking water when you’re on the go?! It takes a lot of effort to sip through the straw. The pre-filter has a short life span so but a few wham you purchase the water bottle.

Awesome product. I love it’s portability and color.

This is the first filtered bottle I purchased and thought it was expensive but now I feel it is more than worth it!

Works well, water tastes pure and without chlorine. Makes a weird sound when you drink sometimes.
