These bulbs produce a really good light
||Posted .I have in my house philips hue bulbs (both color and just white) I also have LIFX bulbs (color and white) Let me say, these lights as lights are really good for LED's. They produce a really good amount of light, and the LIFX app integration is excellent. These bulbs only produce white light, but can be set from The best thing about the app to me is that you can drag your finger across the bulb icon and set the timer to dim the bulb then eventually turn it off. I usually do this when getting ready for bed, I will set the bulb to dim out over 15 minutes, and by the time I am all tucked into bed the bulb goes out. My main complaint about the bulb is that, unlike the HUE bulb which seems to work with everything, this bulb doesn't work with such things as my amazon echo. I would swap out my hue bulbs in the kitchen with this in a heartbeat if I could control them with the amazon echo. With the HUE bulbs I can just say to my amazon echo to turn off the bulbs, or dime them to 25% or whatever but with the LIFX bulbs to dim them I have to find my phone or open an app somewhere. I know, first world problems right? but just reviewing these. I did buy three lights, and one of them would buzz loudly, sent an e-mail to LIFX and they created an RMA to return the bulb and they sent me a new one.

Way better than WeMo
||Posted .Pros: Quick setup (took less than 2 minutes). Adjustable white tone (from bright LED white to a soothing more typical yellow). Responsive (takes about 1 second to respond to your input). Works with multiple platforms. Self contained (no wallwart to plug in like the WeMo requires, all the wireless is contained in the base of the light). Easy to group multiple lights. Easy to set wakeup and sleep times. Easy to manage remotely (away from home). Includes a fade in and fade out where you can specify the fade time (i.e. 30 second fade in), nice feature for those who don't like a stark awakening. Cons: It is a little heavy, so if you have a teardrop lamp that is light it could cause it to tip. However, we put it in cheap piece of junk $5 Walmart lamp and it works just fine. So after getting a Lifx bulb I decided to try WeMo. I bought two WeMo kits, after 3 hours on with their help desk at tier two (meaning the first tier of help desk could not help), and with two different styles of wireless I gave up on WeMo. I am planning to spend about $1,000 over the next year to get my whole house switched to LiFx. They just freaking rock!

Beautiful colors
||Posted .I love my Lifx bulbs. I purchased the white but switched to the original which has the ability to change colors. The app is easy after i figured out what I was doing. The app will initially ask you for your wifi password. If you have additional bulbs, the app will ask you for your password again and display *s. DO NOT try to retype your password. It took meforever to figure that out. When you schedule your bulbs to turn on, you have to also schedule them to turn off or turn them off manually. I told my mom about them and she wants some for Christmas. The only thing I don't like is that they state they aren't warranted for use on your porch but in the video you see homes with the lights in the porch lights. ?? I have one of mine in the porch light. It's rained but it hasn't snowed or been really hot so I'm not sure how that will work.

Great Bulb, bad app
||Posted .The bulb itself works great and is reasonably priced. It doesn't need extra device to work making it a good choice if you are just getting one or two. On the other side, the app sucks. My advise is use a third party app for this bulb and save yourself some frustration. If the bulb request a firewire update, do it from your computer with their computer run update software (I got stuck with my app and completely lost control over my bulb until I updated using their PC updater)

Wireless lights
||Posted .Let me start by saying yes they are a bit pricey $65 for the bolt that does not have different colors and 100 for the one that does That being said it only burns $1.35 worth of electricity year per light. They are very bright very beautiful the colored ones that is and yes I would recommend these if you're on a budget not so much but they do and would pay for themselves in a year or two as far as the savings for electricity. Yep is easy settings are easy you can set these lights to come on and go off at various times with your iPhone or android operating system I saw these on a go fund me webpage they are well worth the money expected lifespan 23 years yes I would recommend

great item when you finally get it connected
||Posted .I have been using this item with my echo for several months now and love it. The instructions for configuring it have much to be desired and it took me an hour to do. You must create a group in your alexa app even though you have only only one item being used. Poor instructions. I have only one bulb now but plan on more in future. Love to say lights off when I'm going to bed and not have to reach for lamp switch.

Great connected bulb for the price.
||Posted .I looked around at the other bulbs on the marked and decided to give these a try. I ended up buying two, and I really like them! I needed something that worked with my Amazon Echo, and these were a lot less expensive than most. The only problem I have had is, that one of the bulbs will disconnect form my net work for some reason. Ive never had a problem with the other.

5 Stars for the bulb, 2.5 for the app.
||Posted .Connectivity issues seem to have resolved themselves. Colors are accurate. Great variations of white, especially the sky blue white Bulb runs hot, but 1000 lumen bulbs tend to do that. The app needs a feature that shows the bulbs' technical info, and diagnostics. The app should be able to turn the lights on gradually the same way it can turn them off. I would recommend, but the app needs some work.
