The absolute best money can buy
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.I've officially tried every major brand of smart bulb and none of them come anywhere close to LiFx. The app is better, the colors are brighter, the integrations are more complete. I could go through and list the individual shortcomings of the other brands but I think just saying that they have them and this has none should cover it. My absolute favorite thing is the "themes" where it splits multiple bulbs into individual colors to form a "mood" with one button. I've yet to see anything where the individual products play off of each other in a unique way to form a larger experience. Yes they're expensive. I wait until they're on sale and grab as many as possible. If you're going to do smart lighting why do it half way.

Amazing in a small room
||Posted .These lifx smart bulbs are a great and cheap option to optimize your home and turn it into a smart home. they are very bright and cost less than the hue lights bulb, their greatest benefit is that you don't need a hub to make them work. They connect to the WiFi individually to function. Although this is what sets it apart it is also the reason they are being held back. having multiple of these bulbs will saturate your router (WiFi) because each one of them needs to be connected to the WiFi at all times. So replacing your while house with these lights might not be a good idea. They are great for small offices, rooms, table lamps and such environments. The hue lights are great because only the hub has to be connected to the WiFi, therefore you can have more than 10 light bulbs in the house and only one device connected to the WiFi and that operates them all. Having said that the Lifx are still a great option for those seeking for a cheaper more convenient but just as good smart lighting option for their room, office or even a coffe table lamp.

Easy Set-up, Does the job.
||Posted .Replaced some small 40w CLF lights with LIFX - Mini 800-Lumen, 9W Dimmable A19 LED Light Bulb, 60W Equivalent - Multicolor. Three bulbs as part of a kitchen island group. I'm able to "group" them to turn on the kitchen lights all at once. The switch was in an out of the way place, so this is a nice improvement: "Hey, Siri, turn on the kitchen lights!" You can change to different colors to set a mood. The setup was painless. I have an Apple HomePod (Siri) set-up. Using your smart phone, you can scan a code on a card that comes with bulbs (each code is specific to a bulb). You can then group the bulbs to function as one with commands. In my set, one bulb is often a little slower to respond and today it didn't turn on with the others and the app said it wasn't responding, I unscrewed it and screwed it back in and it worked again. Will keep my eye on that one as these are expensive bulbs. So there can be a few "bugs." See images.

Great Quality - Setup Is Not Easy
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I have several LIFX products and overall, I'm very happy with them. Their brightness and saturation are second to none, including the more expensive Phillips Hue. I use this mini multicolor bulb in my desk lamp. It works great, now that I have it set up. I've found that all LIFX bulbs are quite temperamental to get configured. It takes me an average of three times to get a bulb recognized and fully configured using the app. It's extremely frustrating. But once they're set up, they've been extremely reliable for me so far.

The more you have the better it gets!
||Posted .I got one bulb for a lamp in my living room. Once I got the app and understood how to use it I was really impressed at how I could change the bulb to any shade of white or any color for that matter. The bulb is also dimming and connects to your home network to further connect to Apple HomeKit and Siri, and also Alexa and google. A few months later I ended up getting several more bulbs. When I get home I can tell Siri or Alexa “turn on downstairs lights” or I can set the mood for relaxing or watching a movie simply by saying dim lights to 30% and make color blue. Very fun and functional Lights.

I love lifx bulbs
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I have 26 lifx bulbs running with Apple HomeKit. Various shapes and sizes including the tiles. Even my outside house lights are lifx. Was buying direct from lifx. This is first I got from Best Buy. These bulbs work with any home automation or just the lifx app itself. Best Buy has other lights on their displays but rest assured that lifx works with everything and customer support is great. If you write code they also have a strong developer forum. Highly recommend lifx.

Pretty cool light bulb
||Posted .I really like this light bulb. The setup was really easy and it looks super cool! I have all kinds of schedules set on mine so at 6am it wakes me up with a bright white light and at 10pm it turns to a really dim purple before turning off at 2am while im asleep. My apartment is pretty small so i love how much it lights up the place. Definitely Worth the buy.

Beat smart lights
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I starred my house with Hue lights but quickly grew to dislike the use of the hub and their overall brightness and color vibrance so I switched to Lifx and haven't been happier. Unfortunately they app has gone downhill as of lately but it's still worth it for the lights. Work great with Alexa and Google.

Q: QuestionCan u set this at just white or just one color at a time? Is any other device needed like a hub..I hope not! Have a se cpnd generation echo dot.
Asked by Nana.
- A:Answer No hub is needed, just screw in and you’re all set. And you can use whatever color you like on each bulb. If you had two bulbs for example in the same room. You could customize each bulb to your hearts content. One orange at full brightness and the other green at its dimmest setting.

Q: QuestionDoes the Lifx light bulb have music syncing capabilities? Will light change color to music, if so how?
Asked by Tomk.
- A:Answer Yes through the app

Q: QuestionCan these be used in a recessed light socket?
Asked by Victoryscreech.
- A:Answer It would depend on the shape of the recess. This bulbs are the same basic size and pear shape as a standard Edison style lightbulb, so if a regular bulb will fit you should be good to go.

Q: QuestionWill these work in lamps that were made for 3 way bulbs?
Asked by RobP.
- A:Answer I have these bulbs in lamps with that are 3 way and they work very well. I put the lamp on the brightest mode and removed the bulb and replaced it with the new LED.

Q: QuestionI have installed these into my ceiling fan as I saw other reviewers do but they are constantly flickering and not showing the correct colors I have set. Are there some ceiling fan restrictions to use these bulbs?
Asked by Kels.
- A:Answer Make sure the fan light is not set to a dimmer. If so, make sure the dimmer is set to high. Moving the slider down on the dimmer can sometimes cause the flickering.
