    Synopsis

Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch
The animated feature-length film Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch follows the characters from the Oscar-nominated movie Lilo & Stitch. Everything seems to be going smoothly as the film begins, with Stitch acceptably assimilated into his adopted family and everyone planning for a gigantic hula festival. However, Stitch soon starts behaving as erratically as he did in the first film. Lilo (Dakota Fanning) and her older sister Nani (Tia Carrere) soon discover that there are some programming bugs in their alien friend that may make it impossible for him to stay with the new family that loves him. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

    Lilo & Stitch
A lonely little girl makes a very unusual friend -- a ukulele-playing alien who likes to toss around small automobiles -- in this antic animated comedy from Walt Disney Studios. Lilo (voice of Daveigh Chase) is a young Hawaiian girl being raised by her teenaged sister Nani (voice of Tia Carrere) after the unexpected death of their parents in an auto accident. While Nani tries to hold their household together, Lilo is a child with unusual interests and a distinctive sense of humor, which makes it hard for her to bond with her peers, as well as her big sister. Nani decides Lilo might be happier if she had a pet, so the sisters go to the animal shelter to adopt a dog; however, the critter which catches Lilo's fancy is a fuzzy blue creature she names Stitch (voice of Chris Sanders). Nani isn't so sure Stitch is really a dog, and it turns out she's right; Stitch is actually "Genetic Experiment 626," a mutation created by extraterrestrial mad scientist Dr. Jumba (voice of David Ogden Stiers) to be used a weapon. Stitch is an intelligent but gleefully destructive little creature with superhuman strength who has escaped to Earth and crash-landed in the Hawaiian islands, but Lilo sees him simply as a fellow misfit and attempts to teach him to behave like her favorite American icon, Elvis Presley. Meanwhile, Nani struggles to keep Lilo and Stitch on their best behavior as stern social worker Cobra Bubbles (voice of Ving Rhames) tries to determine if Nani is fit to raise a child, while Dr. Jumba and Pleakley (voice of Kevin McDonald) attempt to capture "Experiment 626" and bring him back home. Chris Sanders, who provides the voice of Stitch, also co-wrote and co-directed the film, which features numerous Elvis Presley tunes on the soundtrack, as well as a new recording of "Burning Love" by country star Wynonna. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Ok when I watch films I do so on a 180" movie theater screen with full 7.1 surround sound and the Buttkicker transducer system. This is not to Bragg but to give an idea of the clarity that I rate both 4k and 1080p films. 1st off regardless if you are huge into 4k or still collect Blu-ray; I will add that with today's (Oppo) upscaling technology along with upscaling technology on theater projectors that the difference between Blu-ray & 4k is minimal. I will say that going over 180" that you will likely see a difference and recommend 4k for 150"+ screens. I found these films to be of the upmost in blu-ray quality. I would put it at the rendering of films like: The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Beauty & the beast ect.. Basically the 2d animated films that Disney spent big $ converting to 3d. Other than that these Blue-Rays are spectacular! I noticed that certain background were fixed when transferred to blu-ray! Worth every penny!

This is one my daughter's favorite movies. There is enough action, mischief, and implied danger to keep her entertained, but this is not a "princess movie", nor does Disney feel the need to stoop to over-the-top violence, overly dark villains, or crude potty jokes and insults, like so many other "kids movies" do these days. The main plot involves a mutant alien "experiment" on the lam from the galactic authorities. The alien is designed to wreak mayhem, but overcomes those tendencies and learns kindness and loyalty instead from the humans he encounters, all of whom are decent, honest, hard working people dealing with real-life difficulties that families of all types can face, and doing it with positive humor, courage, and a message of acceptance, love and perseverance. I would recommend this movie for almost everyone, from five or six years and up.

If you don't already own Lilo & Stitch on home video, this is a good purchase, especially with the addition of the sequel. The movie was previously released on blu-ray a few years ago as a Blu-ray/DVD combo. This re-release drops the DVD and includes a Digital Copy, which people and studios are gravitating more and more towards due to the ease of use. If you're a fan of Extras, be aware there are none included on this Blu-ray. Extras were previously part of the included Digital Copy, but with Disney's recent migration to Movies Anywhere, they seem to be missing, and they may or may not come back. If you absolutely must have Extras and don't care about having a Digital Copy, track down the previous Blu-ray release, which had Extras on the included DVD.

I'm a fan of Lilo & Stitch. Its Blu-ray debut is solid, even if it's missing the special features available on its previous DVD releases. And with its strong video transfer and excellent DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround track, the film has never looked or sounded better. Forget the barebones disc, this is definitely one to add to your collection. No, Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch isn't the be-all, end-all of Disney direct-to-video sequels. It's fairly enjoyable, though, which is more than I can say for most, and its able-bodied video presentation and lossless audio mix only help.

The new packaging is nice. The 2 movies and digital copies for a very fair price. The first movie is good, you probably already know the story. It is just an older sister and a younger sister. The younger sister is having a bit of a rough time. An alien experiment escapes to earth. Stitch learns from Lilo and becomes a better 'person'. The soundtrack is great too. The second movie continues the story but definitely not as good neither is the soundtrack

Typical youth overcoming adult, as well as her own, obstacles Disney story; but set in the present time in Hawaii with characters that reflect current sociological realities. I loved it. If you are reading this review, I suspect you love Disney, too, and will not be disappointed by this movie!

I love the first movie so much, I bought it again, this time in a 2 pack with the 2nd movie included. But this time, Blu Ray. Who doesn't love the part where Stitch says "This is my family I found it all on my own, It's little and broken but still good, Yeah still good." The heart swells when I see that scene. Good Movie

This has a light-hearted quality of throwback cartoons. It is interesting that much of this animation was also hand water colored, rather than CG animation. Lot's of Elvis songs worked in, and make it a nostalgia trip. Good messages, and fun. quality image on the Bluray. Second film is not as good, but mostly entertaining.
