Asked by unklchuk.
- A:Answer Hi, unklchuk. You still need an active WiFi connection in order to use the adapter. It is only designed to add or upgrade the wireless connectivity if the laptop is still not utilizing an AC standard or if it doesn’t have a built in wireless adapter.

Q: QuestionI use Linksys-AC1200 Dual Band Wireless USC 3.0 Adapter. I get a fair signal, but it's always re-loading again and again. What can I do to boost the signal at my computer's USB ?
Asked by JimBo.
- A:Answer If you're trying to connect to the 5ghz wifi network, you need to be fairly close to your router. But, after reading your question, I am on my second AC1200 adapter and mine constantly drops the connection too. Linksys support updated my driver for Windows 10 and it didn't help. They sent me a new adapter and that one does the same thing. Next time buy a different brand.
