This router replaced another Linksys router which gave me many years of good service. I was very impressed wiith the improvements in wireless security and how easy it was to take advantage of them. Installation was a breeze. My old router needed rabbit ears to broadcast the WIFI network. This one is more sensitive and has an internal antenna.

This is a really nice router!! I love the sleekness and the power it offers at a fraction of the price. Most people spend an arm and a leg on more expensive routers when really, they all work almost the same. Wanna save money? Go with this router! Premium and affordable.

I purchased this to replace a dying Netgear router. Given that time was of the essence and cost was a significant factor, this seemed to be the best locally-available choice based on my budget. I will say that it's serving its purpose well enough and I have found a couple features quite helpful. Pros: It's inexpensive. It has decent range. I can get at least a usable signal from one end of the house to the other (3 bedroom house, ~1500 sq. ft.) with the router placed as centrally as possible. It has decent speed. It's not AC or even N900, but N600 is fast enough for the occasional transfer between devices. If I were doing more intra-network transferring, I'd probably hardwire as much as possible anyway. It's reliable so far. I haven't had it go down yet, but we'll see if that remains the case. The guest network is nice. I appreciate having a somewhat walled garden for friends to use that doesn't give them access to my actual network. Cons: No gigabit ethernet. I realize this was built to hit a price point just like every other product Cisco makes, but not including gigabit is disappointing. If I do decide to run ethernet in the future, I'll have to replace this router with one that supports gigabit.
