This is one heck of a video! Joe is a very talented player and showman. This video has the energy to send chills down your spine, even if you have never heard Joe play before! Check out his album (My favorite from him) "You and Me" also. So far, most music this mellinium has been stale, fake, and just down right junk, with few exceptions. Joe Bonamassa has got to be the biggest of these exceptions. Where most pop stars today dont write their own music, either written by "professional" writers or they rip off and "remix" someone elses song, with the exception of a couple tribute covers, Joe is all origional! Songs written by him on a long flight, or drive, on the road, or in some lonely hotel room somewhere. Where many pop stars have faceless session musicians play the instruments, Joe and his band are all live and in your face and with great tallent, all of them. Many pop stars use computerized pitch correction to make them sing on key, when Joe starts singin, its all Joe. A lot of popular rock bands today are busy writing sappy love ballads, bubble gum/coffee shoppe rock, or bouncing around on stage in rubber halloween masks, unfortunatly, this is what gets you radio play and sells t-shirts.It's not about the music, its about how much money can be made or marketing it. Joe and the boys are pure rock and blues, no gimmicks, they dare to just do what they do. Their have their own style and sound. Unfortunatly for them, you arent very likely to hear their awesome music on the radio, or while walking down the isles of the supermarket or find their T-shirts sold at the mall department stores. But as people discover Joe, and pass on his incredible music to friends and family, people will rediscover the magic of great tallent, craftsmenship, and artistry of really good quality music! Although I would not directly compair any of these guys with anyone else, as they are all gods in their own right, Joe is certainly this generations', Clapton, Hedrix, or SRV! Give him a listen, and pass it on!

Where in the world has this young guitar playing/song-writing,with the (oh so smooth) & awesome voice and an overflowing abundance of performing skills & overall TALENT, been? I am a die-hard music buff from the 70's-early 80's( Woops!, age revealing time ) era & am always searching for new ARTISTS which sometimes yeilds very slim-pickings, well MOST times if you favor rock & blues. I really can't put into words, the awe and pure joy I felt when I just stumbled on this performance & Joe himself. I knew with certainty, within the first 3-4 min.that I had struck a GOLD MINE, as I was mesmerized through out the entire concert. PARALIZED is what I'm talking bout! I had never even heard his name & marveled at how this could be , my good-good fortune was presented to me in a BIG way in those few short moments when he started playing until the very end. For all music lovers that so enjoy raw & gifted artists,--this DVD is an absolute MUST! Let one of those bills go this month and treat yourself to one of lifes' FINER THINGS, You will not regret it, I PROMISE!! From One Appreciative music lover to another, GO GET THIS TREASURE NOW!!!!!! OR JUST ORDER IT RIGHT HERE AND NOW !Have a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

this dvd is a great way to see how far a person can go in twenty years. it has been three years since his last dvd . now he has a four piece band with a extra drummer and a horn section. the camera work is great and you have three audio options. most of the music is from the ballad of john henry but he also plays many of his other great songs. you have eric clapton playing a song with joe and to say the least it is a classic. if you love the blues and you love to rock buy this dvd.

This young man might be the best guitar player ever. "SlowHand" is no match for him on guitar. The camera work is good but not great. cameras dont jump around as much as most concerts but still not as good as the Jeff Beck bluerays in Ronnie Scotts in London and the Irridium in NYC.. The sound is great set on DTS Master. ( Marantz 5004 receiver/amp, 5004 Marantz BD player, PSB Image T6s.) This DVD is the third best in my collection. Jeff Beck's are 1st and 2nd.)

The songs / arrangements - especially with 2 drummers - were simply outstanding ! I find myself watchiing or listening to this concert over and over. Eric Clapton came on as a guest for one song and it's the first time I've seen Clapton actually smile while doing this type of gig. Joe Bonamassa is a major talent that I'm sorry I didn't find sooner. This is a great concert! "Stop" and "Sloe Gin" will blow you away!

This guy is great. dont know why Joe Bonamassa is not a household name. I dont think "slow Hand" is as good a guitarist as this young man is. Before you scoff, listen to him and then decide. The camera work is very good. Not as jumpy as most concert photography. The sound quality is right up there with the best. you wont be sorry you bought this dvd if you like blues.

This is an excellent concert, with Joe Bonamassa fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing the Albert Hall (my dream, too!) and displaying his skills on the guitar and Theremin, with an awesome back up band and some behind the scenes with Joe and family members.
