Clear Picture and Works well
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This is my second C920S that I have bought in the last 6 months. The first one I needed for my desktop to conduct meetings, Skype with family, and more. The camera has worked flawlessly in that regard. I'm using it on a Win10 system. This second one that I bought I needed for my living room to Skype through my Xbox. The camera features a 1080p@30 fps sensor, privacy shutter, dual microphones for stereo audio, and a built in stand. The stand also features a 1/4-20 threaded insert to mount to a tripod or any other camera mounting platform. The privacy shutter is nothing more that a flap the closes down over the lens, so it provides a modicum of privacy. For those people that are more sensitive to privacy needs the most effective way to shut out would-be snoopers is to unplug the camera after use. The great thing about this camera is it is quickly recognized and setup by Win10, so unplugging/plugging back in doesn't cause a large disruption. Cable length sits right at 5ft and connects via USB A. It also has a velcro strap tethered to the cable to make it easier to bundle up. The camera FOV is 78°. This narrower FOV limits the viewing area, which allows you to retain some privacy while on a video call or stream. The last thing I would want is a wide angle view of my basement while on a video conference with coworkers and outside vendors. Video quality is excellent and the clarity is right where it needs to be. In lower light conditions the camera automatically adjusts its ISO setting to keep the image bright. I have found that I can still be easily seen while in a darkened room, and only the light from my screen is illuminating me. The dual stereo mic does a good job of picking up audio even from a distance. This is really useful to me when I am Skyping through my Xbox. The camera is on top of my TV and I am sitting about 12-15ft away. I don't have to shout, but rather talk in a fairly normal tone and the other party can hear me just fine. Overall I was really happy with the first camera I bought. It worked great and delivered on its specs and performance. I liked it enough that I bought a second to use as the camera on my Xbox. It has a solid price/performance argument going for it.

Perfect for Home Office/Teams Meetings
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Purchased this for virtual home office. Work has provided a Lenovo 500 FHD webcam. This one blows it out of the water but was twice the cost. The picture clarity is like going from Standard Def to HD. Similar to the webcam price tiers. Going from a $30 model to $70 should do it. Haven’t ever tried the top of the line. This is perfect for my Teams meetings at work.

Good webcam upgrade for telework
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Had to use the camera and mic built into my laptop before, and it wasn’t a great experience. Now people hear me clearly in meetings and the brightness and resolution of the camera are ideal for telework. Now I can close my laptop and just use monitors and this high-quality webcam. Plug and play. Love the blue indicator lights. Would recommend.

Better than using a Tablet
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I purchased this web cam to ensure better video chats using our computer. We had been using a tablet and found that access was not very good and video quality was fair. Setting up on the desktop computer Monitor was quick. From a 8" Tablet to a 24" Monitor was quite a difference. The first time using was amazing at the difference. No more fumbling with the Tablet to get our Video to work and easier to see who we wore talking to.

Great camera for my Octolapse needs!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Great camera for my Octolapse needs! I've had this camera purchased before, but like many fathers of teenagers, It has been "confiscated" by my son and I had to get a new one. I use it for the Octolapse feature in 3D printing and it is an excellent camera for that!

Q: QuestionDoes anyone use this camera with a Mac desktop or MacBook Pro laptop? It seems to me the built-in cameras are pretty good; would this webcam add any clarity?
Asked by Frankgold.
- A:Answer Hi! I use the C920s with my Macbook Pro. It is much better in clarity when using it with Zoom calls or even FaceTime, compared to the built in camera. I hope that helps!

Q: QuestionWill this work with Windows 10, Chrome for desktop, and Zoom?
Asked by Keith.
- A:Answer Yes, yes and yes. I have used it directly on Win10, and Win7/10 inside VMware workstation on my Linux box. Chrome and Firefox without issue on a variety of conferencing apps, and I mostly use Zoom.

Q: QuestionWill this camera do closeup video of small items like jewellery to show the details? and will it do regular facebook meetings/broadcasts of 2 people sitting in front of the camera talking?
Asked by TD.
- A:Answer I believe you'd want a higher definition camera. While this does high definition, you'd want something in the 4k territory (more pixels, more definition), basically UHD (Ultra high definition) to show better details. For example this camera does 1080p (1920x1080), great for close-up of your face, but fine detail, kind of coarse and lacking in quality. This does a maximum of 30 frames per second, so movement may not be as smooth as a camera with 60 frames per second. This camera does have default wide angle and some other picture formats such as portrait style or square, so yes you can have 2 people in front of the camera. BestBuy does have a Logitech 4k Pro Webcam, more expensive, but fits what you're looking for, and can fit more than 1 person in the video. Hope that helps.

Q: QuestionIs there an easy way to make this eye level for a video interview?
Asked by ChrisK.
- A:Answer yes you can mount it pretty much anywhere OR it will stand on it's own on any flat surface.
Answered by Guter
Q: QuestionCan the microphone and/or speakers be used without activating the camera?
Asked by Number5.
- A:Answer Yes, the microphone only can be used. In your System Preferences / Control Panels, for "Sound > Input", you choose the Logitech Camera as the external Microphone Input. To deactivate the camera, put the shutter privacy down, or make sure the Logitech camera is NOT chosen as your input camera. This camera does not have built in speakers, you either use your computers built in speakers or headphones to listen during chat.
