The G305 gaming mouse by Logitech is a no-frills entry level gaming mouse for people who want to use the latest sensor technology but don’t want to pay as much as the premium gaming mice. The mouse is wireless only and uses a replaceable AA for power – which is handy as it is easy to get it going again when the battery dies. Logitech advertises a very long battery life for this mouse using their newest sensor technology and there is a low battery indicator that tells you to swap out the battery when it does get low. One note – you must download and install the Logitech Gaming software to use all of the features of this mouse. As far as performance, this mouse performs well. The up to 12,000 dpi sensor technology in the G series optical mice is impressive, and honestly I would recommend anyone who spends a decent amount of time in spreadsheets or especially diagramming using a mouse purchase a gaming mouse for those uses as well – the high quality sensors make those jobs much easier. One limitation on this mouse is the number of buttons. With only two side buttons and no horizontal scroll, you are limited to 6 buttons. One nice feature though for Logitech G mice is the ability to map one button to “G-Shift”, which allows the other buttons to perform a second function when the shift button is also held down. I personally map the mouse wheel button to this function, and then map the other buttons on the mouse to other things I use regularly. For ergonomics, this mouse is pretty compact and can be used in either hand, although the side buttons are kind of awkward for lefties. It’s actually a great travel gaming mouse – not too bulky or heavy, and completely self-contained with a slot under the back for the receiver to go. I would recommend this mouse for a PC user who wants to step up the sensitivity of their mouse, for a gamer on a budget, or for a gamer who wants a compact option to pack with a laptop for travel. The lack of buttons is a limitation on this mouse, but the sensor and the simple battery replacement are both nice features.

Excellent mouse for gaming and production work! I haven't been able to run the battery out because it's so efficient. I use it almost every day for hours on end, and never once has there been any lag or delay from the mouse to the computer. It's light, and quick to move around. I originally got this for my PS4 Pro. I had a bluetooth mouse before this one and it had a lot of connection and interference issues. This Logitech mouse is much better. I have not had a single connection issue and it is really responsive. The response time on this mouse is low enough to where I cannot feel any delay. The DPI is also high enough and changeable to where moving the camera in games is smooth. The only downside to this mouse is that it is not rechargeable and requires changing out the batteries.

This is one of the best entry level wireless gaming mouse on the market right now. For the price, it's lightweight, lasts forever on a single AA battery, and fits multiple hand grips. I have a medium sized palm. I personally use a "lazy" claw grip and I'm having great results in competitive FPS games. I now use 800DPI, but have formerly used 400 and 1600. In all settings, the mouse performs without a hitch. For general browsing duties, I can palm it comfortably. Logi's software is good. The G305 is the gateway into the wireless gaming mice scene. There are a lot of modifications that you can do to this mouse. There are many great wireless mice on the market, but the G305 is what started it for me.

This my first official gaming mouse. I’ve had it for a couple months now and love it! It fits in my hand great! It’s hard to beat especially at the price point.

I bought this mouse after all the review from YouTube and after my cheap $6 mouse gone bad, I think the mouse seems it’s going to last for a long time. The built and clicking is simply good. So far so good about 3 weeks now.

Its a little on the small size like just a tiny bit bigger I'd be happier. Overall it's a great mouse it functions well responds quickly to input and tracks super well in games too. Decent weight can be reduced slightly using a lithium battery instead of the standard AA. Planning on buying my kid one too when best buy gets em back in.
