Q: QuestionWhen will Logitech make the left click wider(2 answers)
A: AnswerHello Anonymous! That really depends on the product. We do have other mice in our Logitech G lineup with wider left and right click buttons (like the Pro X Superlight or the G703 in example), but mice with a lot of customizable buttons (like the G502X PLUS LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Mouse with HERO 25K Sensor) will take some space on the mouse, in this case the 2 DPI Cycle buttons to the left side of the left click buttons. - Mathieu from LogitechAnswered by Logitech
Q: Questiondo you have the option of using this mouse wired?(5 answers)
A: AnswerThe mouse has USBC and you can use it while it’s plugged in and charging!Answered by bbert
- A: AnswerNo, just plug the Powerplay mat into a USB port on your computer. Where the battery is on the bottom of your mouse, make sure you insert the battery adapter that came with the Powerplay unit, that is what inductively charges the mouse. Also make sure you have the G Hub software installed on your computer before you try to pair the mouse with the pad.

Q: QuestionIs this mouse better than the razer basilisk v3 pro?(3 answers)
A: AnswerI believe they are comparable honestly. I got this mouse for the extra 4 button 5 if you remap the dpi shift button to be something else. I wanted to get the basilisk v3 but ultimately I went with this one for the reason I mentioned before.Answered by Kleptah

A Nice Upgrade From Old Design, Still Great
The original G502 was, and still is, a great mouse. However, it's design is quite familiar by now. Also, while I haven't had this issue, the G502 seems to have lower quality switches which can fail prematurely. While this can be fixed, it's an involved process which requires taking the mouse apart and soldering new switches. It's relatively high weight is also worth noting, especially with today's super lightweight mice. Also, huge props to Logitech for not putting "Pro" anywhere in the name, that's a silly trend that needs to go away. This newer model addresses most of these issues. It has an updated design, new switches, and it sheds quite some weight too. As for comfort, the new 502 is a little bit lower, and a little bit longer. I've always felt that the old 502 was a tad too small, and while the G502 X isn't significantly larger, the tiny bit of extra length (settle down) makes it feel a bit nicer, a small but very welcome improvement. Tracking is the same, which means it's really good. The buttons also feel great to me. The new switches are an optical switch, so they should last way longer than the old switches. All the buttons feel very similar in terms of placement, and they're all about as easy to hit as on the old design. The large button on the thumb rest can also be customized. You can flip it one way or the other. On one orientation its about as easy to hit as on the old design, and the other orientation is much easier to hit. You can also just block it off with a little rubber piece if you don't want it. The only thing I really don't like much is the scroll wheel. It just feels a bit cheap and rattly and reminds me of the scroll wheel on crappy e-waste grade mice. To be clear, it's not awful or anything, but its definitely not nice. I wish they would've used the scroll wheel from the MX Master, but that'd probably be pretty heavy. Speaking of weight, I was never bothered by the 121 gram weight of the old design. At 106 grams, the G502 X Plus is lighter than the old one, but not by much, and it's still not light. If you want a super light mouse, maybe get the corded version (89 g) or just get another mouse. If you're not too bothered, this is an excellent choice. From an aesthetic perspective, the mouse looks very good, it's a modern design that's not bland, but not overly aggressive either. The RGB strip has 8 zones so you can really customize it, you can even crate your own animations. Sadly, it's only available on the top tier G502 X Plus. The wired version doesn't have any RGB, which is a missed opportunity in my opinion. Also, while you can get up to 120 hrs of use on a single charge, it goes down to about 40 with RGB on, which is actually a downgrade from the 60 hours on the old G502 Lightspeed with RGB enabled. I still prefer the extra customization of the LED strip vs the boring single LED on the old design, so I'll happily sacrifice some battery for the much better looks. Also, it now comes in white too (Thank you Logitech!) Just like the old design, the new 502 supports Power Play. It also has USB C charging, and you can use any cable. The older G502 Lightspeed had its ancient Micro USB port buried inside a tiny hole, meaning many cables wouldn't fit, at least not without shaving the connector down with a knife. If you want to change your DPI on the fly with the buttons, the LED strip just changes colors, whereas the old design had 3 LEDs which were easier to interpret. Also, you don't have the ability to add weights like on the old mouse. Personally I don't change DPI on the fly and never used the adjustable weights, so losing these features isn't an issue for me. In conclusion: If you already have a G502, this is a small incremental upgrade. The biggest change is the looks, and a somewhat lighter weight. If you don't care too much about either, you can safely skip this model and stick to your old G502. But if you care about looks as well, or if you're looking for a new mouse, the G502 X is a great choice and I don't see much reason to get it over the old G502, except for maybe price. Aside from the scroll wheel and maybe battery, everything about it is better.
