Customers love the Harmony 700 8-Device Universal Remote for its easy setup, affordable price, and rechargeable batteries. Many users appreciate its ability to control multiple devices, making it a convenient choice for households with various electronics. However, some customers have mentioned a slight learning curve, occasional programming difficulties, and a sluggish response time.
If you are looking for an all in one remote that will control just about all your toys, look no further. For the price you can not go wrong $40-$50 bucks on sale. I am currently using this remote to control a Vizio TV, Channel Master DVR+, Samsung Blu-ray Player, Roku 3 & a Samsung Sound Bar System W/Sub and it works very well, it takes a minute or two to get the hang of it, but after that you will not miss having all those other remotes. Setup was a breeze and it is done by creating an account with Logitech online and bamn, you are all done. The only issue that I can see, since I had the remote for a while, is the slippery backside of the remote, it has no grip at all, or should I say very little grip, other than that it is a very good remote with a back-lit keypad and LCD screen. One more thing save your self some time and pick up some rechargeable batteries, it does work with regular batteries, but rechargeable ones work better and last longer. My package did say 2 rechargeable batteries included, but quality control must have been on lunch when the packaged mine, luckily I all ready had AA rechargeable batteries.

Needed a new remote because puppy used the TV remote for a chew toYou, so I didn't do any research ahead of time. Went to Best Buy because I knew the staff there would know more about remotes than "they are in Isle 12". A vvery nice, knowledgeable lady walked up and talked me through what would be best for me (I dont see a need to spend 100-200 on a remote). Setup was really easy, the builtin color screen talks to me in sentences, not cryptic codes or blink sequences. ithe display isn't touch screen, but I'm happy about that. The buttons around the screen you use to select things on the screen work very well. Everything on the display is crisp, we'll lit and easy to read. Plus all the buttons glow in the dark, so I don't have to angle it at the TV to see which button is which. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is sometimes it doesn't turn everything off when I hit the off button. However, the display always asks if everything did what it should, and has a 1-button process to resolve it. A minor annoyance at most. (See attached picture. The display is crystal clear, my iPad just didnt capture it well) Plus, the following week it went on sale for $10 less, spoke with customer service and they gladly rebat d the difference.

The remote was very easy to set up and get going. I had it set up and working about 20 minutes after I opened the package. Easy enough that my entire family had no problems working it. Only downfall I have come across is if the remote were to fall off the couch on to carpet, you have to go the guided setup process. It appears that the slightest drop the batteries loose contact with the post. It's a minor problem that will have to accepted.
