Love It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the hub much more for voice control my home entertainment. The hub work with almost all IR and bluetooth stuff. I think the setup process is easy enough. Logitech already upgrade it directly work with Amazon Echo. For Google Home, I can still use IFTTT to turn on my LG TV, Acer projector, Shield TV, Apple TV and Xbox 360, even control the Hue lights. For me, the one that I cannot turn on is PS4, but I think it is because Sony did not allow others to connect it via bluetooth as you still cannot use a bluetooth headphone to play PS4 in 2016. Shame on Sony!

My wife was like, "Whatever!"
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do this for a living, so my projects don't always get as much priority as my paying customers' projects, but this product added the final touches to completely hiding our media components. This remote system controls my TV, which is hung above our fireplace with care, and it controls our stereo receiver, Over-The-Air ChannelMaster DVR, & Fire TV Stick, which are all enclosed in our media closet. I ordered this Harmony Smart Control Remote, not taking into consideration that the Fire TV Stick remote used Bluetooth versus radio frequency or super-traditional iR (infrared) technology. I was pooping, only because I could hear my wife's voice saying, "that was kinda ridiculous..". I quickly looked-up the specifications, and was relieved to see that the Harmony included Bluetooth technology, which allows me to control everything!!! :) When I received it, I set it up in minutes. I had to situate the included additional iR blaster outside the media closet to point at the TV, but that didn't take too long. All I have left is to cleanup the wires in the closet. I'm super-surprised how well the iR blasters work. I've installed countless iR repeaters, and they typically need to be aimed just right to the iR receivers on your components. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a clean installation with hidden components. Look at specifications for a complete list of compatible devices.

Great with Harmony Ultimate One
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I already had an Ultimate One remote before this purchase. The Ultimate One was mediocre by itself. I paired it with the hub from this package and it's soooooo much better to use. I can make changes to my setup from the Harmony app instead of connecting my remote to my laptop via micro USB cable. You can also use Google Home and Google Assistant to trigger commands. I put my hub on a shelf so nothing would get in the way of the IR blaster. I would definitely recommend pairing the hub with a Harmony Elite or Ultimate One. The experience is just better overall.

Great Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best universal connection that I have used to date. I have a 7.1 surround receiver with my TV, PS3, Xbox, Apple TV, and Directv box connected to it. I have also installed led lights around my bar and 3way light switch in the room. This device controls them all as well as I use it with my original iPad as my controller. It is really a great device.

Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great addition to my room. I now only use 1 remote instead of 3. The only issue I find is that it does not have a backlit feature that was in the product specification. All in all this is a great remote and I would recommend it.

Ditch the Remotes
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using this with a newly installed home theater system. Setup with the app was as easy as it gets. You'll need a list of all the components to search the database of supported devices. Mine included a Yamaha receiver and Samsung Blu-ray player, Xbox, Uverse cable box, Epson projector, Amazon Fire Stick and most notably a motorized projection screen. The app found each one in it's database and linked to each component. The Harmony app uses "Activities" to turn each device on/off and change the source input on the receiver. Activities are extremely intuitive and easy to setup. One push of the "Watch TV" activity and the screen lowers, the cable box, project and receiver all turn on and the input on the receiver sets itself correctly. Another push and all turn off. The included remote is even configured by the app providing nearly full functionality of the Uverse box and other components including the Fire Stick remote. This little gem replaced six different remotes. The app setup the following activities effortlessly based on the components. Watch TV Watch a Movie Listen to Music Watch Fire TV Play Xbox 360 The only thing I was disappointed in was I manually setup activities to turn on any device that may not have received a signal. ie: Turn On Projector. Unfortunately it knew the "Watch TV" activity was active and turned everything off before turning the projector back on. This is a minor annoyance as there is a control for each device separate from the activities that allow you to control each device as if it was that devices remote. Logitech's website even has functionality so that you can search to see if your devices are supported before buying. https://support.myharmony.com/en-us/compatibility Highly recommend this Hub/Remote combination.

Q: QuestionIs the included hub the "Harmony Home" hub, the predecessor to Home or something altogether different?
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer This is the predecessor to the home, but the software can be upgraded to allow it to do everything the home can. The remote just doesn't have the buttons for lights and switches.
Answered by DPBurek
Q: QuestionAre you limited in the app on how many devices can be programmed. I don't plan to use the remote, I want to use this with Amazon Echo instead. Seams like it should have unlimited if you don't have to worry about how many programmable remote buttons.

- A:Answer I just purchased this yesterday to replace my Harmony 900 (I want to use Alexa/Echo voice control). During setup i was able to bypass the 8 device limit, when i got everything setup and started to configure the HUB using the Desktop Software, not the APP (I am using the APP on an older Ipad 2, so i had to use the Desktop to setup the HUB). I am not sure if it will work if you setup using the app but with the Desktop version of MyHarmony software it worked. My harmony 900 allows 15 devices to be controlled, when i was asked if i wanted to copy the settings of my 900 to the Hub i said yes and it copied all 15 devices and all the Activities i setup. It works great, just don't remove any of the devices because you wont be able to add them back individually, it will tell you you have reached the max devices. So if you accidentally remove an item, you can just run the Setup process over again. Hope this helps anyone who needs a couple more Devices added without having to spend the extra money on the more Costly HUB Combo.

Q: QuestionAll components will be behind closed doors, will I be able to turn TV on/off,do likewise for a DVD behind closed doors will this remote work?
Asked by Danc.
- A:Answer The remote comes with a hub and 2 mini IR blasters. One purpose for the mini blasters is to receive RF signals and transmit that signal to equipment that may be tucked away in a cabinet.

Q: QuestionCan this be used with Amazon Echo and TFTTT recipes
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, it does. That's exactly how I use it. With the MyHarmony application, I add devices and activities, connect MyHarmony as an IFTTT channel, then add a recipe with Alexa to turn on or off the different activities.
