Best Remote Yet + Home Automation Control
|Posted .Major refinements make this a practical remote for daily use. Summary: Plusses: 1- Feel in your hand is superb, with a grippy back, it does not slip out of your hand 2-Good color screen resolution 3-Programmable hard buttons for most functions 4- Dependable: Once programmed, it works consistently 5-Backlit buttons are very easy to read 6- Haptic Feedback with various levels is extremely user friendly 7- App also allows iPad & iPhone control, but the remove is so comfortable in your hand, I use the remote every time 8- Very intuitive, easy to program 9- Pre-loaded graphics including Network & Home Automation Icons are excellent 10- Home automation control of Honeywell, Hue Lighting & many others is a big plus Minusses: 1- Screen is not scratch resistant (plastic) 2- If you accidentally bump the screen with your finger, you will activate the function you touched. Screen is very sensitive Conclusion: Minuses are not sufficient to lose a point. 5 Stars!! Excellent Product!!

Lovin the harmony
|Posted .Purchased the harmony one thinking it worked with your voice, but come to find out I had the wrong one... so I had to go back for an exchange.... and in a way lucky I did... because the harmony home hub comes with the remote and the hub and it was 80 bucks less. So now I got what i wanted and for much less. Now on the product... I absolutely love it.. you can use the remote without even pointing at the system, you can use your phone with the app, n your voice...I use my google assistance on my phone though. I don't own a Alexa.. but maybe soon..if you have a entertainment system this is definitely worth it. I used to own the harmony 650. Which I now use in my bedroom. I really didn't have any issues setting up, little minor setbacks setting up the Xbox to be controlled by the harmony, but I eventually got it.. you do need a little patience depending on the activity you are trying to set up... but once it is set up.. you will love it, and can put away all those other remotes.. btw, I also control my AC with the harmony.

Logitech Harmony Ultimate Home
|Posted .Purchased the Logitech Harmony One Universal Remote for my wife in December of '09. Was very disappointed in the design and software, returned it. Was skeptical in purchasing the Ultimate Home. What a surprise, the display and software is phenomenal. All my equipment was on their web site. You can easily program buttons on the remote. My wife is very pleased with the one button turning on or off. Thinking of getting one for myself.

Truly Amazing Remote
Posted .Love this remote. Recently I decided to upgrade my TV and Surround System and wanted a new remote that was able to control all of my devices. I had the Harmony 650, but hated using another remote to control the PS3 and PS4. I took advantage of the Best Buy trade in program, traded in the 650 and got the Harmony Ultimate Home for $100 less. After reading the reviews, I thought I was in for a long, complicated setup. I opted in using the computer setup rather than the app, since I was used to that setup from my previous remote. I didn’t find it more complicated then the previous setup. Only difference was positioning the hub and one of the IR Blasters. The setup was the same as my previous remote; it’s best to write down all the model numbers of your devices and what input they are connected to before starting the setup. Then just enter them in and set up the activities. Another nice feature is adding your favorite channels. Once the setup is complete, it is just a matter of getting used to the remote and its buttons. It took me a couple of minutes to figure out how to switch to different menus and learn how to get the numbers screen (Hint: When you are on the favorites menu, just swipe left or right and the number screen will appear after two swipes in the same direction). The remote works very well with the PS4 and PS3. You just have to pair it in the Bluetooth settings of the game system. I am so happy I don’t have to use the controllers anymore to watch Blu Rays on my PlayStations. I haven’t had any issues with this remote. All my devices turn on and off, almost immediately when I press the button. I currently have the devices behind glass and cabinets. I like the fact that you can use your phone as a remote also, but I probably wont use that feature. I find the actual Harmony Remote was more responsive. This is truly a wonderful remote, which will allow you to consolidate all your remotes into one (in my case 7 remotes into 1). Just take your time in the setup.

Useless; poor range, does not work behind cabinets
Posted .As you can see, I have to place the IR blaster in plain sight. It states you can place them behind cabinet doors, but it doesn't work. Also, you need to use both blasters. Often I have a problem beyond 6' with both blasters. As for the mobile app, it's useless. I find it really difficult to believe people claiming to replace their remote with this. You can't even customize the buttons and you have to scroll through 3 or 4 screens to perform a simple command. As you can see in the picture, if I simply want to surf the satellite guide, I (1) select the device or activity, then it takes me to page 3, then (2) I have to scroll to page 4, (3) press Guide, (4) scroll back to page 3, (5) scroll back to page 2, (6) use the direction or page up/down buttons to surf. If I need information, I have to (7) scroll forward to page 3, then (8) scroll forward to page 4, (9) select Info, then if I need to go back to the guide I have to (10) scroll back to page 3, (11) scroll back to page 2, (12) press Return, (13) and surf some more. Let's see, at least 13 steps. BUT, there's no Exit button to get out of the guide, so I'm stuck there! Useless; too much work and it's missing some buttons. As for the touch screen, you see need to look at it to know which button to press. Sure there's vibration after to press the button, but you can't feel for the button before you press it. Then you have to scroll a million pages up/down to find your desired command. With the old 880/890 you can scroll left and right to get to the desired screen which then holds 6 commands. It's more efficient, and you can feel for the buttons.

Worse customer service ever
Posted .After one year of use the back of the remote start to get sticky i never use any product to clean the remote was just wipe with some fabric. I call the customer service and they told me to take the rubber part out! A remote control that cost more than $500 with out parts for service?! Seriouslly?!?! I don't not recommend any remote control from Logitech. This will be useless in one year or you buy a extend warranty form best buy. That i extreme recommend !!!!!!

Q: QuestionIf I have all of my components in a closet with my hub, can I still control my projector in my room by pointing the remote?I have all of my components hidden in a closet so I will have my hub in there to control them. However, I am not sure how I can control the projector that is in my room if my hub isn't in there.

- A:Answer I've been looking at this remote with the same concerns as it is not clear if this can be done. All of my equipment is in the closet except for the TV. I want the remote to control power and volume on the TV with IR and the hub to control everything in the closet. On the Logitech User Forum this morning, I read this: "The Ultimate Home remote, can send IR directly to your devices. On the remote's LCD screen select the Menu Icon (3 horizontal bars), select Settings, select Devices, select Hub Assignments, then for those devices you want controlled directly by the remote (IR) select Remote only. Select Done when you have finished" Now I plan to buy it tomorrow and hopefully have it working as desired.

Q: QuestionWill this remote work through a wood door
Asked by Hutch.
- A:Answer Yes. The remote itself doesn't do the controlling really. It's the Hub that sends the signal to the devices so all you need to do is make sure the hub is in the same room as the device you wish to control

Q: QuestionHows does the White Hold up as compared to the Black?Im wondering if the white remote is prone to start looking dirty easily or not, anyone have any insight on this before i choose which to get?
Asked by Jason.
- A:Answer Surprisingly it stays very clean. The surface texture is not smooth but rather a fine pimpled surface which keeps it clean. I have both the black and white and would have no qualms about buying another white remote.
