Great mouse

Favorite Mouse!
Posted .I've tried a lot of different mice, ones I've bought/receved elsewhere and ones that my husband has. I received this one as a Christmas gift from my husband and I don't think I'll ever try another. The position it places your hand in is very comfortable! It takes a couple of days to get used to, but it's very much worth the initial weird feeling. I have some painful issues with my thumb joints and this relieves SO much stress from them. It's really nice that you can plug the mouse into the computer to recharge the battery and still be able to use it. I love this mouse and I definitely recommend it to everyone, but especially to people with thumb joint pain like me. It will make using a computer so, so, so much more comfortable!

Big and heavy, battery lasts 2 days
|Posted .My trusty Logitech M705 Marathon mouse started having a problem with left click. So it was time to replace it. This mouse looks good. But it is almost one inch longer than M705. I have medium sized hands. They are too far away from the front edge of the mouse. So each click takes a bit of extra pressure. It is also noticeably heavier - my hand muscles are a bit sore as I am a heavy user. I think this is because of the Darkfield technology. They need to offer a mouse with the same old technology and rechargeable battery in the same smaller form factor.

Who moved my cheese?
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendBought this Performance MX mouse to replace my 2006 version of the Performance MX mouse about two months ago. During that interval, Logitech decided to omit all of the functions I mentioned in my "What's not so great" comments. Why? Not sure, but normally for budget reasons. My mouse, is a very, very, very fine mouse. With two kids in the yard, life isn't very hard because of it. With Darkfield Laser Tracking, it will track virtually anywhere - even over glass. Rechargeable battery is a nice touch - on/'off switch incorporated in mouse. Logitech Unifying technology permits multiple compatible wireless devices to be used via one receiver. No need for multiple USB receivers. Nice touch. The scrolling has a two -function button that can be depressed to initiate warp speed scrolling or much slower page/line by page/line scrolling. One clever feature allows you to view all open Windows on the same screen; you then may select the Window you wish to view. Very handy, I've found, when I have a lot of Windows open and need to recall what they are. So, I guess Logitech Giveth and Logitech Taketh away, when it comes to features, buttons, bells and whistles. Frankly, I found the omitted volume and mute controls much more useful. I only hope that this mouse is as indestructible as my previous mouse which literally has been dropped from Miami to Afghanistan and still survived; Until now. RIP Would be a 5 if it was Made in America.

Very comfortable mouse, great for all day use.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI love the mouse and I only have two things to comment on. The first is that the battery life is about a week on a charge with normal use and I kind of expected it to last longer but that is way it is rechargeable. I love that you can charge the mouse while you are using it (Just becomes a corded mouse with the included cable). Ok so here is my one problem with the mouse, there are three thumb buttons one of these buttons is the zoom and right on top of that are the back and forward buttons and it is hard to hit the back button because you always get the zoom button. I would have just separated them more.

Nice features - works great
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI did a lot of mouse shopping to replace one that was starting to have trouble with the scroll wheel after many years. It is difficult to replace something to which you have grown so accustomed to the fit and feel. Other than the obvious stuff on the product description, here are my notes.. . PRO - I really like having the "thumb button" in the base, where you press down with the side of your thumb. My old mouse had that. It can be programmed to do things like be a mute button, or switch applications (default behavior), or whatever you need. This one also has a "Zoom" button on the side, but that can also be reprogrammed for any feature. I currently have it programmed to behave like the middle-mouse button, because then I never accidentally scroll a bit when I try to click the middle mouse button. It is rechargeable via the included USB cable. That's nice. A charge lasts quite a long time, too. I also like the movement. Very steady and predictable. CON (but also a PRO) - The curvature is really narrow for my thumb. It's more like it was made for a finger rather than a thumb. It was almost a deal-breaker. However, once I started to get used to it, and stopped trying to nestle my thumb all the way in, it wasn't too bad. Some people might think of it as a gentle hug. On the bright side, it makes it very easy to lift the mouse, such as when you are doing a multi-step movement to get your cursor all the way across two monitors, etc.

Q: QuestionAny reason it can't be used with a laptop? All the reference about this mouse is regarding use with a laptop. Is it extremely small, looked full sized in the photos?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This is definitely a full size mouse which can be used for any application. Could easily be used with a laptop as well, though there are more compact models that would be better suited for travel.

Q: QuestionDoes this package include the wall charging brick and case?
Asked by Ferraricare.
- A:Answer This mouse doesn't come with a case, it also doesn't come with (or need) a charging brick. You can charge and simultaneously use the mouse while plugged into an available USB port on your computer. Best of both worlds ... plus, you can replace the battery with a normal AA if you really were in a bind.

Q: QuestionPerformance Mouse MXWhy doesn't the mini usb plug fit into the mouse?
Asked by Jack44.
- A:Answer it does fit. the problem is that its angled at a weird way. it does not go in to the mouse directly at 90 degrees as you might assume. try tilting it at a smaller angle from the front and it will fit.
