      Hollowed Be Thy Sound

This budget computer speaker set is quite average, an overrated product producing excessive bass with one dimensional sound. Before I purchased this product, I was testing out the Insignia NS-PSD5321, a more affordable alternative; the latter initially produced superb sound producing brilliant highs synchronized with rumbling yet powerful bass. However that same day I assumed that this Logitech product would deliver more taste to the sound, under the product's claims that the Logitech speakers offered 360 degree sound as well as a base boom with the subwoofer. To my dismay, this Logitech model underperformed. First, the satellite speakers delivered a hollow sound. It was difficult to differentiate the various atmospheric noises in the Halo 4 multiplayer; Drake's Hotline Bling was increasing unenjoyable as well through the two speakers. As for the subwoofer, it rumbled at the key of almost every bass-producing aspect in both music and gaming (Halo and Rockband with some songs on my mp3 player). I would not recommend this product because it is overpriced compared to its contending products, failing to suffice its promises of excellent sound. Once again, it produces hollow noises, undeserving of the title "sound," and although it does keep up to its promise of 360 degree delivery, it fails at sound quality and differentiation.

      Odd Execution

I checked out a few different desktop speakers in the store, and these were the only ones that met all of my need (decent power, vol adjustment for subwoofer, input jack and headphone jack). They sound decent enough, but still tend to be either too boomy or too hollow, and somehow both at the same time. But it'll suffice. The price was decent. The main problem with these is the odd execution of the volume knob for the sub, and one of the speaker connections. The knob for sub volume adjustment is on the back of the sub, making it awkward to change the volume of it, because typically you would have the sub placed out of the way. Mine is on the floor underneath my desk. The knob for this would ideally be on one of the satellite speakers. For whatever reason, the connection for the RH speaker (on the back of the sub) is a VGA cable style. Why on Earth is this necessary? The LH speaker is your standard RCA jack. I see no reason why both speakers wouldn't connect with RCA jacks. Once it's set up it's not really a big deal, but it's still an odd way of going about it. I've never seen a speaker system set up this way. Bluetooth connectivity would have been a nice touch, but there are inputs for an external source on the back of the sub, and a 3.5mm input jack on one of the satellite speakers.

      good speakers, so-so buying experience

For the money (on sale at $45 + tax), these speakers work really well. Clean sound, with surprisingly good bass for a 4" "subwoofer" driver. The CNET review complained about insufficient bass at high volumes - I think there's plenty of it to rock out at my desk, I don't expect this little system to rock a rave :-) My only complaint is with the Best Buy buying experience. I paid for it online, to pick up at the local store. Got the email that it will be ready in about 45 minutes, and as I had some errands to run, I did not wait for the final confirmatory email. About 2+ hours later, I arrive at the store, and they say it's still not ready, there's a "hold" on the purchase. The clerk doesn't know why or how much longer it will take, and suggests cancelling the online purchase and buying it off the shelf (it's in stock, that was not the problem). He goes to get it for me, rings it up, and when I swipe my credit card, I see it's $10 more. I guess $45 was the online sale price, in-store it's $55. Had to cancel that, told him to honor the on-line price. No problem, he says, Best Buy will honor or beat any price. Great, but if I hadn't noticed, I would have been charged an extra $10.

      Poor Sound Quality

I picked up the Logitech Z323 in order to replace a set of speakers I'd been using for the past decade, on which the connectors had become finicky. I was hoping that, given ten years of technological change, a small, inexpensive set of 2.1 speakers would perform just as well as a somewhat more expensive set I had purchased years earlier. The gamble didn't pay off. I'm not even a real audiophile, and I found the sound quality intolerable. These just didn't reproduce music, voice, or sound effects to anything near the accuracy of the old Altec Lansing speakers I was replacing. Everything sounded muffled or distorted, regardless of how I played with the controls. Ultimately I returned these, and after trying out the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, which had their own issues, I eventually settled on the Logitech Z623. If you are looking for a set of 2.1 speakers you can use all the time, forget the Z323, and consider the Z623, which have much better sound quality.

      Great Sound at any price

Purchased on Black Friday weekend, and got it for a steal at $29.99 vs. the 89.00 list price. I was purchasing for a replacement for my desktop system where I do a lot of video composing and music. So quality was important. But my office was upstairs, so I got lazy and just hooked it up to my home entertainment PC which feeds my 50 inch LCD. I put on YouTube music and it was surprising.... rich sound and good volume. Then I decided to play the movie The Expendables and turn the volume up to mid way. No only did it shock me as to the richness of the sound, but the power was incredible. The bomb explosions shook the sliding glass door about 7 Ft away. It has now replaced my home theatre as the sound is rich and powerful enough to fill the room. Only drawback....I have to get another set for my office, and will not find a deal like that again, but at 60.00, it s still worth it.

Wanted to upgrade my Logitech speakers to have better control of bass. These have a separate volume control for the "sub-woofer," mounted right on it. (I personally don't agree with calling a 4" speaker a "woofer.") Its much easier than setting controls via my PC to just turn the speaker up or down without affecting the volume of the L-R speakers. Sound quality is good for my ears, damaged as they are by wearing headphones (turned way up!) at work. No, they're not the best for an audiophile, but what computer system truly is? I download a lot of music, and have had to turn the "subwoofer" down several times to prevent rumbling.

      Mind Blown

I so badly needed new speakers for gaming, music etc. I knew i didn't want any cheapys like my last set, so I strolled into Best Buy. After asking a best Buy rep. about computer speakers and pondering the vast array of choices, i made the decision to purchase these beauties. I was so leary as to their true quality. little did i know my mind would be blown and my room would become a sanctuary. Forget surround sound, forget speaker bars, these my friends are the best thing to hit store shelves. The sound quality is so crisp and that bass? Turn it up! This may sound biased and you'd be correct in thinking that but you haven't a clue until you test these puppies out for yourself. Gaming? Pfff yeah! Music? Of course! Movies? Absolutely! Logitech is a great brand and they know their stuff. This is just one of their beautiful masterpieces. To all that have acquired these window busters, ENJOY!

      Great Speakers for the price

From the reviews I read on Google, Best Buy, Amazon, and anywhere else I could find reviews, I knew these were the speakers I was going to get. One thing that I could not figure out was if it had an Auxiliary port. I bought them anyway. Glad I did. Ladies and Gentlemen, this set of speakers is perfect for just about everything. It does have volume control, subwoofer control on back of subwoofer, and it does have a headphone jack and an Auxiliary jack. It has a good subwoofer, and it has great volume while always clear. It also has great sound with all types of music. I know because I listen to everything. Very satisfied with my decision and purchase.
