    Synopsis

Some of the island's mysteries and dangers are revealed during the second season, which spans 23 days (Nov. 4-27, 2004) and opens with Jack (Matthew Fox), Kate (Evangeline Lilly) and Locke (Terry O'Quinn) venturing into the hatch for the first time. There they discover Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick), whose job is to key a numeric sequence into a computer every 108 minutes. They eventually learn that the reason for this task (later undertaken by Locke) is to prevent the release of damaging electromagnetic activity (which can cause plane crashes, for instance). They also learn that the hatch and other structures on the island were built in the 1970s by a scientific research group called the Dharma Initiative. The survivors make their first sustained contact with passengers from Flight 815's tail section, led by a paranoid former L.A. cop named Ana Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez) and including psychologist Libby (Cynthia Watros) and a Nigerian drug dealer named Mr. Eko (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). It's not a happy reunion: The Tailies capture Michael (Harold Perrineau), Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) and Sawyer (Josh Holloway) because Ana Lucia thinks they belong to a mysterious and hostile group of islanders who come to be known as the Others. The misunderstanding is cleared up, but not before someone has a fatal encounter with Ana Lucia. In other developments, Claire (Emilie de Ravin) recalls what happened to her when she was abducted by the Others; Sun (Yunjin Kim) learns she is pregnant, even though Jin was sterile off the island; and Libby and Hurley (Jorge Garcia) forge a sweet relationship. Michael is reunited with his kidnapped son Walt (Malcolm David Kelley), but at great cost after the survivors find a wounded man (Michael Emerson) who calls himself Henry Gale. He says he's a marooned balloonist from Minnesota, but the survivors suspect Other-wise. ~ Paul Droesch

If you thought the first season of "Lost" got pretty deep, you haven't seen anything yet! Season 2 picks up right from where the first season left off, and it never looks back from there. You'll be engrossed after the first 10 minutes of the episode. Over the course of the entire season, you'll learn more about each of the characters, meet a few new ones, and find out that there may be more to this island than it initially let on. The plot just grabs you and never lets go. I found myself watching entire discs at a time. The cinematography is simply spectacular, with all the right angles and fantastic scenery. Buckle your seat belts, although you probably won't want to move from your seat anyway! Highly recommended!

If you have seen the 1st season on lost than you know if ends with ALOT of questions that need to be resolved. I remember when watching the season finale and was like c'mon...I really wanted to know what was in the hatch. This season takes us further into the island and explore more of its mysteries such as the others, other hatches, other survivors, and much more. It is a pretty good season I'm just not happy that they get betrayed by one of their own. Other than that this season is really good at making us wonder about further mysteries on the island. This is much slower than season 1, but now we know more about the characters and this show is still extremely entertaining.

In this sequal to the Season 1 box set, the passengers of Oceanic flight 815 discover more secrets about the mysterious island as well as each other. Things aren't always as they appear and people aren't always who they say they are in this action packed season. LOST Season 2 leaves you on the edge of your seat with twists and turns around every corner.

Lost is so great: season 2 is evidence of this. The DVD also has many great features like outtakes and the world of Sawyer and his nicknames. Great for any fan of Lost--and if you're not a fan of lost yet, grab seasons 1 and 2 and sit tight until season 3 comes out in December!

Season 2 is incredible. The greatest thing about this show is it's ability to go one step further in weirdness. Like, what's a bear doing in the jungle? Oh wait, it's a polar bear. There are so many moments like that in Season 2 that I just can't wait for Season 3.

LOST is a show you get lost in. The second season continues momentum, well worth the money spent and something that we will re-watch later even.
