Comfy & Great sound quality.
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis product caught me by surprise. I was looking for a headset to replace my Astros A50s. I've had The Gold's from Sony, some of the Astros and A few Turtle Beaches, so I have a fairly good idea of what to look for in a gaming headset. First the pros: great sound quality, very comfy, lightweight, and I like the ability to shut off the mic and the sound of the headphones just by pressing the buttons found at the center of each cup. it has rotating cups, one to control the volume and the other one for the mic, it has a detachable mic, and the headphones can be used with the cord should you want to hook it up to your phone while you are gaming. I've gotten between 14 to 15 hours of gameplay. Now the cons: the mic is constantly getting disconnected, I don't know if this is a flaw related to my headset of it others have experienced the same issue. The other thing that may bother some people is the fact that you have to connect the dongle via an optical cable. The Sony ones use the same kind of dongle but it doesn't require you to connect anything else, so this is not a deal breaker for me, but for some that may be cumbersome. Finally, they are BIG!!, so I doubt you would be taking these out on the street, they do work with an array o devices including your cellphone but I wouldn't use them outside the comfort of my home; that's just me of course. Final thoughts, when I fist saw them I thought they were going to be heavy and not too comfy, and I had my doubts with the sound quality because of the prize. I know that the people behind these headphones have worked with Tritton in the past so that made me take a chance. The headphones, to my surprise, are very comfortable. I put them on and I forget they are there; I can focus on my gaming without having to take them off because of the weight or because they are simply uncomfortable. They just worked well and I never felt any pressure or annoyance during gaming. The other thing I love about them is the sound quality. I was expecting to hear some hissing sound as it happens with many wireless headphones; the sound is just right on and at no point you hear anything other than what you are supposed to be hearing, specially at times when there's nothing playing, you won't hear a beep and that's what headphones should do. I've had other wireless headphones in the past and I hate it when the game goes into a loading screen when there is nothing playing and you hear that hissing noise, these ones don't have that problem. Overall, I think they are a solid buy, they are priced right in my opinion and they fit in that middle range with not much to envy to their high-end counterparts.

New standard for gaming headsets
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendTo give a little background, I've tried just about every "decent" headset out there. Elite 800's, Stealth 400, 500p, Astro's...you name it. I find it a serious problem that one can spend upwards of $300 and still have a headset constructed of the same cheap plastic material found in $20 headsets. When I saw this particular headset, I was eager to try it out. Although it's not 7.1 or 5.1 (simulated anyways) this headset sounds as good, if not better than everything else on the market. Also, the steel (metal) construction makes it feel like a quality product, but they are by no means heavy on your head. The fit is phenomenal. The best, and I think most important thing I like is the simplistic functionality. You have two volume knobs (one on each side for game and chat respectively) and a mute for chat, and a mute for game volume. It's very simple, and bottom line, it works. I'd also like to add that the built in mic monitoring is awesome. This also increases as the game volume increases, that way you can always hear yourself through the mic. Overall, I think this headset will make other companies step up their game. This is a very solid product, and doesn't look like all the other gaming headsets. You can remove the mic, and wear these in public without looking like Tron. Great job LucidSound!!

Cool, Comfortable, and Crystal Clear
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAfter spending a few days researching headsets ranging from $100-$300, I decided to pick up Lucid Sound's LS30 headset for three main reasons: 1. I need something I could wear for hours at a time and forget that I'm wearing them on my head. I immediately felt the difference between the LS30 and Microsoft's stereo headset. The LS30 was soft and luxurious and had enough give that my head didn't feel like it was being squeezed to death. 2. I want to make sure my teammates in party chat hear my voice as if I'm sitting right next to them As soon as my teammates hopped on I asked them how I sounded and they said I sounded like I'm right next to them. Perfect. 3. I didn't want to spend a lot of money. $150 was a reasonable price in my budget so I picked up the LS30, got home and booted up The Division. The setup was super easy on my XBOX ONE so I was online in a matter of minutes. After a few hours of play, I still didn't really notice them on my head and it never felt hot like the Microsoft stereo headset did after a few hours. I've spent about a month with these headsets and I can honestly say that they are the most comfortable pair I've ever worn while gaming. My team never has difficulty hearing me and I never had issues hearing them. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the convenience of adjusting both chat and game sounds on the headset by simply rotating the outer ear cups. It's the best idea since adding audio controls to the wheel of the car. I don't have to look down or feel around the headset to adjust my volumes. They're giant knobs right there on each ear cup. LOVE IT. An even better thing about these knobs is you can't even tell that they're there. This headset is sleek and elegant. So elegant that I need to pick up a nice headset stand just to leave it out on display rather than stuffing it into a drawer or shelf. I would hate to scratch this sexy beast of a headset so I've been placing it on top of the microfiber cloth for the time being. Last but not least, this headset holds a good charge. I play about 3-4hrs per night and it can last between 3-5 days on a full charge. Just some tips that they also mention in the manual in case you didn't read it: - Make sure you turn on the headset before turning on your controller - Don't forget to turn it off after you're done playing so you don't drain the battery - Use the included boom mic because it's MUCH clearer than relying on the built-in mic Great product Lucid Sound! Looking forward to seeing more!!!

Great headset for competitive gaming and personal
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis is a great headset! I'm wearing it hooked up to my phone as I type this. I don't even turn on my headset or connect it to the usb that goes into the Xbox to sync the headset when I use it. Just simply plug it into my controller and it works great. Very comfortable can grind out a night of XBOX with no discomfort. The downfall of not syncing it is no being able to use the adjustable game and party volume on each side of the headset, but it only takes 5 seconds to hit the home button and adjust it in the settings so that's not an issue. One thing I like about these is the range of motion the headset has (see my picture) . You can wear them around your neck and rotate them so they flat on your chest, unlike the pair of studio wireless beats I used to own. Also works great when I'm playing a game and want to listen to music from my Bose companion computer speakers, I can easily rest the right side of the headset on my head and hear the game and my friends in party chat. As far as sound quality they are great for the price, not quite as good as the beats i used to have but they are also half the price and multi purpose. I've dropped them a few times they are not built poorly. Love the look of them. This is a must have for anyone who loves to game and listen to music a lot!

Good, not great
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI was looking for a gaming headset for my PS4 and decided to buy these prior to hearing them first. I was able to "try" out the other headsets like Turtle Beach and others at Walmart but the Lucid Sound headphones were never available anywhere to try before you buy. After reading mainly positive reviews, not to mention these look pretty cool I can use these with my phone in public and not look like a geek compared to the other gaming headset designs & looks I decided to purchase them. They sound good, not nearly as much bass as I was hoping to have but there is a decent amount of bass that they produce. My biggest complaint recently is that the headphones are having difficulty connecting to the PS4. If I turn on the PS4 first and then decide I want to use the headphones they have difficulty pairing and I have to plug/unplug the dongle about 4 times before they decide to talk with each other. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but I don't think I am.........if after 10 minutes of using the PS4 and want to use the headphones this shouldn't be the process you have to go through to use them. Overall they are a decent looking and sounding pair of headphones but the pairing issue has caused me to like them less and less when I struggle to get them to pair.

Very Decent
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendBefore this pair I was using the mono style headphone that came with the Xbox One. It suited my needs pretty well, but I wanted an upgrade. When I saw these on sale I thought they may worth a shot, hearing how there were so many other bad sounding headphones and these were supposed to be pretty good. Well, from my limited experience with gaming headphones I think these sound way better than the mono headphones Microsoft gave out and they're pretty comfortable to boot because of those really thick ear pads. I haven't tried every headphone out there, but I would say these are almost as good as mid range musical headphones. The thing that keeps them from being good musical headphones though is that the mids are too muddy, but for gaming that doesn't matter as much. Some say they don't mind wearing them in public, but I think these are way too big for that. Overall, I think these are good if you're a casual gamer looking for a mid-range stereo type gaming headphone. But I wouldn't pay full price. Try to get them on sale.

Awesome!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis headset is well worth the premium price. Dual microphones with boom or without, sturdy design so it won't break (I've had expensive plastic headsets break on me a lot) and the comfortable design are great. I use it many hours a day for work conference calls, then game with it at home. Of course the sound is excellent too. Only detractor is that the noise isolation isn't as complete as I'd like... But it's not a huge factor.

Great Product - Not Good Customer Support
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLove the Headset. You actually hear things you never heard before or knew where there. Not completely wireless with Xbox though, still have to plug in the connection to the remote. Love the on board microphone also. You don't have to use the plug in mic if you don't want to. Great Product but Geek Squad Tech Support was not good this time. Trying to pair the headset to Xbox 360, called Geek Squad was transferred 5 times, every time was to the wrong department, when I got to the right place could barely hear the person on the other end and then he hung up on me. Not good Geek Squad. That took about 30 minutes and the problem wasn't resolved. Called Lucid Sound (which I should have called to begin with) and they had the problem fixed in 1 minute. They said any more problems just call us. I'm an Elite member and spend a lot of $$$'s at BB, plus I bought the extended warranty on the headset from Geek Squad, don't know if Geek Squad is taking a turn for the worst. I would have given it 5 Stars if the Geek Squad Tech Support had been half way decent.
