Dont waste your money on cheap laptops like me
||Posted .I love this laptop bought it on 5/23 and I was debating whether I should buy a mac or another windows computer... I owned multiple HP pavilion's that were cheaper of course because at the time I couldn't justify spending over $500 for a laptop in the past. all of them turned to garbage after the first year so after buying 4 of them and wasting my money when I could have taken the money I spent on them and bought a macbook I learned my lesson and decided to buy a mac instead and so far it has been one of the best decisions I made I love this laptop and am hoping for it to run good for a couple of years like the reviews said instead of it turning into garbage after 1 year like those hp laptops

Mac Air DO Care!!
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. So I have once had a 2013 MacBook PRO that I aaaabsolutey LOVED!! So, I need to upgrade and I am someone who loves reading reviews about products doing my research, you know, the “adult thing” to do… So you know you’re not wasting your money lol no I’ve put my trust into thousands of strangers and took their advice and purchased this MacBook Air for myself as well as for my 14-year-old (which it’s basically hers anyway lol) and we both really are madly in love with it it’s great. Yes, I am really used to the 16 inch screen size, but it’s OK because this actually my daughter’s EARLY Christmas present (muhahaha), but she DOES love it!! As do I!! I use it at night school (Cosmetology) which makes the 13.3 size actually kinda better than a big MacBook, it’s so light to carry…I don’t, I may just keep this one for myself ;-) haha Just Kidding!! But it was DEFINITELY A GRRRRREAT BUY!!

The 2014 Mac Air VS the New Mac Air
||Posted .I own two Mac Airs. One from 2014 and this one. I would like to compare the two because I feel there are some features on the older version that are more desirable. 1. The Battery The new Mac battery lasts forever and charges quickly with a USB-C port. I favor the older magnetic charger but that's a small thing. 2. Display The new display is very clear however, the screen extends to the very edge of the device similar to the iPhone. So if you drop this device you're screwed. I dropped my 2014 and it dented the edge of the screen but didn't break the glass because of the extra aluminum edge. I don't think the new Mac screen would survive this. 3. The web cam The 2014 is very dark for some reason. The new Mac seems to have fixed this issue with a nice and clear video. 4. USB ports The 2014 has 2 USB-A ports, a lighting connection port, phone jack and an SDXC card slot The new Mac only has two USB-C ports and a headphone jack! so you need a number of adapters to connect anything which is quite annoying especially since my wireless mouse uses an old USB-A. Apple only sells limited adapters so you need to buy PC adapters which I'm not crazy about. However I have a dual USB-A adapter from Dell that works great 5. The Chip The M1 chip is lighting fast. Even though my 2014 has an 1.4 Ghz dual core I5, it doesn't compare. 6. The famous logo It's another little thing but, I liked the illuminated apple logo on the back of the 2014. Maybe its no longer there to extend battery life? Idk but I thought it was a nice feature that separated apple from the rest.

Read BEFORE purchasing “Open box” condition!
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.I bought this online in “Open box” condition meaning the display model. It was described as being on excellent condition and all in all I ended up paying around $970 for it after taxes and fees. When I first received the laptop I was immediately in awe of its beauty (I bought the rose gold version) However upon trying to set up the laptop and gain access into it I ran into a bunch of issues which required me to contact Apple support. Best Buy had not done a software reset on the laptop before shipping it to me which resulted in me not being able to log in or set up my password. It was only after 2 days of receiving it that Apple finally pin pointed the issue and was able to walk me through doing a complete reset thereby allowing me to finally gain access into my laptop! Ever since then I’ve been in love with it! My only small complaint would be that I have to buy an adapter now to be able to connect my phone to it, other than that this was a great buy!

Macbook Gal
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I've purchased this model of the MacBook; the day after Christmas. When I bought it, I fell in love with it. I bought the Gold Color; which I thought was cute. Although the MacBook came with the 256GB which I thought was enough. I bought this MacBook for online school, it is so flawless. I love the quietness, no viruses and the compatibility. It is very fast. This is my first MacBook and I will keep it forever.

MAKE THE INVESTMENT
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I am new to MacBook but not to Apple. I was worried about ease of use because I’ve always owned windows computers so I contemplated switching over. I made the best decision ever! I love how simple and intelligent this laptop is. The best part is that it’s super fast and communicates effortlessly with my iPad and iPhone. Super dependable and great for business. Also… The setup literally took less than 10 minutes straight out the box!! I would suggest getting a usbc hub/adapter because there are no ports for regular usb just usbc. Highlights: Quiet Lightweight Display Audio quality Speedy Storage space Battery life

Apple Over Marketed/Promised
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I bought this knowing it was geek certified but that's irrelevant in my review of the Macbook Air M1. PROS: It's definitely a step ahead of the last MacBook Airs. I would say the person this is for are creators who use adobe photoshop, iMovie, multiple tabs open, music playing, etc. It's genuinely pretty good for a MacBook Air. iMovie videos render in like lets say a 5minute video in 1080p 1GB, 2-3 minutes. That's a huge improvement. However, this is not for you if you use any video-making application that is not yet running on Apple's Silicone. It's not to say that it doesn't work. A lot of Intel products work through Rosetta. I'm not sure if this is going to be fixed since the new MacBook Airs M2 should be dropping in a few months. So I guess if you're a creator who only uses Apple applications like iMovie, and if you can find a M1 version of any application you use that's based on intel, you should be fine. But a lot of us who use adobe creative suite, powerdirector, cricut, silhouette, it's not a good idea to pick this up. I'm not sure if there is going to be a software update that fixes this but what happens is that with 8gb of ram, intel apps use about 7gb of the ram and so you're forced to shut down your work. Even JC can't save your hard work if you're editing a video or writing an essay. Overall, I don't blame anyone but myself and Apple. They overpromised on a product that had the potential to be great. It's just to bad they don't allow us to add more ram. It's hard to criticize them because I depend on MacOS but this really has to change with them. 8GB is not enough for anything anymore. Don't get wrong, take a look at your diagnostics and see how much the m1 is killing your SSD (or lifetime expectancy). This usually doesn't move numbers for a year or two but users are already seeing their MacBooks life expectancy start ticking, Ideally, this MacBook should have never been released as an 8GB Memory, it should have started at 16GB because every day the MacBook is being used it won't last as long as the original intels. I'm thinking of returning mine and going back to intel with just a higher ram and processor. we'll see. I'm actually thinking of leaving macOS and going back to windows because this is just sad.

My one and only daily driver for everything
||Posted .Owned for 4 months when reviewed.I have been using this laptop as my daily driver ever since the day I purchased it. It has never overheated. The most it ever gets is a bit warm after having 10+ windows and applications open in the background. The feeling of the laptop is therapeutic and feels amazing, but I recommend having some form of protection because it does feel like one drop from a decent height can be fatal. The display is great. The sound is from the speakers are actually more than decent. Overall, this MacBook Air has been amazing. Highly recommend!

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference in a macbook air, vs a macbook pro?
Asked by macbook.
- A:Answer The MacBook Pro has slightly better battery life, GPU, speakers, and microphone, and screen brightness.. The MacBook Pro also has the Touch Bar, but the Air just has a regular row of function keys. Another pretty big difference is that the MacBook Air has no fans where as the MacBook Pro does have fans.
