Madden 18 may not be perfect in all areas of the game, but it's a solid game that keeps improving. Commentary, presentation and graphics are better than ever before. EA's Frostbite engine may not have been implemented as well as it could have been, but for a first year effort, it's a solid foundation that should improve. The PS4 Pro enhancements truly change this game for the better. Having a solid 60 frames per second on 1080P resolution and amazingly clear HDR graphics on 4K televisions truly makes a ton of difference over 17 and previous years. Franchise hasn't seen a lot of improvements come its way, but its minor fixes to commentary and menu quirks perfect what was already there. Here's hoping for an overhaul in 19. Longshot is a surprisingly fun story mode that ends far too soon. I honestly hope an NFL-based sequel that uses your save data from Madden 18 will be added next year, instead of a completely new story with new characters. All things considered, this is a solid game that, in spite of its imperfections, does a lot to emulate what fans see on Sundays. It could be better. But what's there is certainly admirable, and hopefully it continues to improve next season under Frostbite.

This game ticks all the boxes: graphics, gameplay, sound and fun! Controls really well and has so many modes you will be playing this until the next on comes out.

While there are some big flaws with the game, i.e. computer play calling, and qb play, and franchise mode needs an overhaul. The game looks beautiful and still is a lot of fun to play. The latest patches have fixed some of the problems. Longshot is a fun story mode to play through. Game is really catered to online and ultimate team which are really fun if you are in to that, and offer a wide range of things to do while building your team. Single player is fun, but requires some work on your end to get the computer to play competently.
