I was able to nab this guitar kit for a discounted price of $99.99. I've been interested in getting an electric guitar and amp for a while now and learning to play as a hobby. In my opinion, this kit is exactly what I was looking for. It is a real, new (not second-hand) electric guitar made by a reputable company, that looks pretty cool even though white is not my top choice. It comes with the things you need like picks, extra strings, the 1/4" cable, guitar playing dvd lessons, etc. I mean, I'm an absolute beginner- I don't need a top-of-the-line guitar, huge amp, or things like that at this point. Many of things I did need, it came with. The strap is pretty small I think, but yeah I'm looking forward to learning to play.

I bought this guitar for my son to learn how to play. It came with all the basic stuff he needed to start playing (except a tuner which he just used an app on his phone). Sound quality is good, carrying case comes in handy when taking it to lessons, and overall a great buy for only a hundred bucks!

If you are looking to make an investment in learning to play the guitar, especially if you don't already own an electric guitar, I HIGHLY recommend this system. The guitar is beautiful, comes strung, but also has additional strings, pics, light-weight gig bag, AND its own mini amp. You also get a few DVDs for beginners' lessons. Now, on its own these lessons are pretty good, but they refer to a workbook that goes along with the lessons. This workbook doesn't come with the system, but can be purchased separately. I don't think it's necessary to pick it up, but wish it came with the system too. Other than that, this is a great system.
