Series is based on the 1950's murder investigations by Inspector Maigret by Georges Simeonon. Very interesting stories and wonderful settings.

Rowan Atkinson is INCREDIBLE in Maigret!!! He is an AWESOME dramatic actor and makes you BELIEVE the story is real, hanging on every word, edge of your seat excitement! A must see for fans of this genre and Rowan Atkinson! Definitely 5+ stars
