Customers enjoy the Marantz SR6014's exceptional sound quality and ample power, finding it easy to set up and use. Many appreciate its Dolby Atmos capabilities, although some users find the display size insufficient and the unit runs warm during operation. The receiver's multi-channel capabilities are also frequently praised.

Great expandable reciever. To get the most out of this receiver and ones like it be prepared to buy an amplifier so you can use all 11 channels. Also invest in an Ac Infinity cooler. If you run your speakers through the receiver, it will get hot and heat is the enemy of all electronic devices. Run the Audessy calibration to get the best sound from your speakers.

I dreamt of owning this product for over a year, and finally pulled the trigger on it this year to complete my home theater. I purchased this receiver to get the atmos speakers on my Def Tech BP9080x towers working, being I've had the towers for over a year and never was able to enjoy that feature of them. I wasn't expecting much, but was shocked how much the atmos speakers added to movies. Regarding the "Marantz" sound - I'm not sure if i'm not an audiophile, and therefore can't appreciate the nuances of this receiver, but the sound seems similar to my Sony receiver that this product replaced. The most noticeable difference in switching to this receiver was the bass. On my old Sony, I had to crank up the bass to +6 to get any performance out of my subs. With the Marantz, there is no "bass" setting on the receiver, so the only way to alter the level of bass is actually adjusting the nob on the back of the Def Tech BP9080x towers, but DANG!!! I have the subs turned to about 20%, and have seriously had the neighbor texting me in minutes of turning any action movie on! I cannot believe how much bass this receiver kicks out! Overall, great product. I'm not sure if the "value proposition" is there with this product, but if you're looking to purchase a product you'll be proud to own, and you're like me where the legend of Marantz gets in your soul and you have to fulfill the desire to experience one no matter the cost, you'll love it. As many have noted, the only major downside is that the only way to adjust the speaker settings is to leave your movie, go into the "setup" interface of the receiver, and adjust from there. There is not a great way to "adjust on the fly" when watching a movie. You are forced to leave the entire movie, make the adjustments, log back into the movie to verify if the adjustment made an improvement, and continue with that process until you're happy. Much more cumbersome than my old Sony that you could adjustment levels, treble, bass, balance, etc, all while watching movie (so you got real time feedback of the adjustments)

I have owned this receiver for 2 weeks now. This powerful receiver is loaded with the lastest features. It's 8K ready with plenty of HDMI ports for all of your important devices. My speakers are Goldenear 4 RT-7000's and supersub XXL, and Goldenear's xl super cinema sound bar. The sound quality is outstanding. I would highly recommend looking at Goldenear speaker to pair with this awesome av receiver by Marantz.
