Family fun
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I purchased this game because my son thought it would be fun for us to try Olympic Games. We have been watching the Olympics and are curious about a lot of the competitions. We actually enjoyed this more than Just Dance.

Cute, easy, educational, but no 2020 games covid19
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This game is cute, but not very challenging so far. I'm not far into it so maybe it will get more challenging and interesting as I go. But after playing games like Donkey Kong, Mario Odasy, and Salt and Sanctuary this game seems boring. It has a lot of reading information about Olympic games of the past, and Nintendo history. But I had to add it to my collection, as there will be no 2020 games because of covid19.

Pretty Good, But Not a Gold Medal Winner
||Posted .Owned for 7 months when reviewed. The Positives: + Very good looking game that also runs well + Excellent presentation values + Multiple control options on many of the events + Many of the events (rugby sevens, for example) are very fun.... The Drawbacks: - ...but some (like retro volleyball) aren't great or downright clunky - Despite claiming "Button Only" controls, discus throw requires motion control - No special multiplayer mode like tournament mode in the original or London 2012's party mode on Wii - While not without its moments, Story mode isn't as entertaining as it really should be Summary: Another in the now long line of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games titles, Tokyo 2020 is a fine entry into the series. Some quirks, foibles, and missing features hold the game back from being as good as it should be, though. It's worth playing if you like this series and there are some real stand out events, but I wouldn't recommend paying full price. If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would have, but it just barely gets 4 from me.

Great Mario Party alternative
||Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.I'm surprised this series still exists. I'm not sure how the previous games were like, but if your a newcomer or want an alternative to Mario Party, this is probably the game for you. The sports matches feel fair for the most part and playing with multiple people with the motion controls on really gives you that old school arcade feeling. What the game does lack however is a good story mode. it's decent, but something your probably going to forget about. the only reason TOO play story mode is just to unlock the extra characters. What surprises me the most is how polished everything is in this game. Maybe it was having Nintendo as a partner, or something but this game feels very stable and Graphically looks very good. I really wish they had just not made an online mode, as it's very clear that no one is playing this game online, maybe if you and a friend have a copy each but this game feels more fun in person.

HIGHLHLY RECOMMENDED
||Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Love this game! My four year old plays it with my twin 14 year olds. It reminds me of the WII U when they are actually up and moving and sweating instead of sitting and "rotting their brains" with just a game lol. I love the active part of it and my youngest son cannot get enough of the characters. Highly recommended.

Keeps you entertained
||Posted .Owned for 6 months when reviewed. It is a good game as it keeps my kid off the couch. It can be a little more detailed with better controls and graphics. in today's gaming world this is too much 90s look. I do not recommend it if you have a single kid and are not willing to play with her, It can be boring for a single player.

Q: QuestionCan this game be played offline or do you have to be on the internet to play it? I’m looking for a game my kids can play on a road trip :)
Asked by N.
- A:Answer There is a story mode that can be played offline. You can also select individual events to play against the CPU. The only thing you'll miss out on not connecting to the internet is leaderboards.
