The Martin Logan 35XTi’s are really one of the best sounding bookshelf speakers under$1600, has enough lows and highs, I am using it as the surround speakers on the individual stands in my living room - great for watching movies, gaming and blast your favorite music. Would recommend and would buy again should the need arise.

Extremelyl well-built, these speakers boast a wide dynamic range and are versatile with a variety of program sources, from movies to hard rock, country, and even classical and choral music (think opera ensembles and show tunes). They do need proper placement and EQ tweaking so they don't become too bright; and a subwoofer is essential in my opinion to capture the full range of sounds while providing needed warmth and richness. With these caveats, I find them a big improvement over my previous bookshelf speakers with conventional domed tweeters.
