MartinLogan - Motion 60XT Dual 8" 3-Way Floorstanding Speaker (Each) - Gloss Black

I upgraded to the Motion 60's a week after purchasing Motion 40's. The prospect of deeper bass response was enough to make me pull the trigger. I will say that not only was there a deeper bass response, but the larger folded motion tweeter was equally impressive and matched very well with the two 8" woofers and single 6" mid driver. The speakers sound incredible in both 2 channel and 5.1 formats (mine are matched with the 50XT center and Motion 15 rears). I listened to B&W CM8,9, &10s as well as def.tech. mythos super tower and I found the Martin Logan 60's superiority over both was quite evident. They are sonically well balanced and would recommend them highly.

Buy these speakers at Best Buy last November 20. The first couple I arrived with large white patches on the woofers. I returned and buying a second pair, who also had the same defect. After 2 days of trying to talk to someone in Logan Martin I could talk to a technical support and gave me 2 options: woofers clean with alcohol or they did get me the rubbers with the instructions to change. I also explained that were not fungi but a chemical that was staining the speakers. What happened to the quality control of Martin Logan? Clean with alcohol about $ 3,000.00 speakers? I was not satisfied with the answers of Logan Martin and I lost the confidence in your brand. I ended up buying a Bowers & Wilkins CM9 S2 with which I am very happy. Boxes and packaging for B & W came perfectly sealed and well protected the speakers. The sound quality is spectacular! Finally, the overall winner is BEST BUY who always supported me and I was aware of my situation during the almost 30 days of the whole process. ! It has good support BEST BUY. But above all that people so nice and clear. Congrats to the whole team of Magnolia in Brandon. Thank you very much for your effort not to discourage me.

I upgraded to the ML 60's a week after I purchased the ML 40's to get a fuller bass response for 2 channel audio. This was indeed the case, though the mids and highs were much improved as well. I played several 2 channel sacd's as well as multichannel music and movies. I found the desired outcomes for all of these choices to be pleasing to the ears as well as clean, pure replicated instrumental purity at high volume levels. The neighbors probably regret my purchase, but other than that, I would highly recommend the MarLo 60xt's to anyone in the market for new towers.

Got this recently along with a Pioneer SC 81. Hooked them up and wow the music that comes out is incredible. My dogs were shivering the first day. However I got to say I am not as impressed as I was thinking I would be after listing to the ML 40s. I was thinking I would be blown away but not quite there yet. I single wired them first and was not impressed at all. However after bi-amping them I did feel a lot of differences, So I would suggest to do so if you do not own a separate amp yet. I do however want to get a separate amp pretty soon to appreciate what these have to offer. Overall I would say buy them but I am pretty sure you will appreciate them more if you have a standalone amplifier in place.

Went with the 60xt and 50xt after having the motion 40 and motion 8 for a month. I am very pleased with this upgrade. This setup doesnt require a high end reciever like most people say, but would be ideal if you have one. I went with a pioneer elite sc 89 for my setup and I am very pleased with the outcome.

I wanted to upgrade my speakers (I have the motion 12's) they are good speakers just wanted something different. so I went into my local best buy and I heard the 60xt. all I could say was WOW. best buy was running a special buy two and get the dynamo 700 subwoofer for free. needless to say the motion 12's are in the closet. the 60xt paired with the dynamo 700 after you let them break in for 72 hours. WOW

These speakers rock! Their sound is amazing. I can't even handle them all the way up!

The cabinet on one speaker was damaged (had to exchange) On the other one the drivers had a mottled pattern around them One speaker did NOT work
