Very good Collector’s Edition!

Great bundle for fans of the series
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently picked this bundle up after originally just buying the Deluxe edition. This edition is well worth your money if you are interested in the figures. They each stand roughly ten or twelve inches tall (sorry I don't have them next to me to measure exactly) and and incredibly detailed down to a texture for the material on Captain Marvel's costume. Iron Man is perhaps the most realistic looking figure as his suit has it's signature shine and proportions. Mega Man X also looks great followed by Chun-Li and Captain Marvel. The only parts of the figures that don't look as great to me are the faces look ever so slightly off, but still look good. Aside from that the game is packaged in it's steel book that is sealed in shrink wrap. Inside is the base game and DLC codes for the Season 1 DLC (all additional characters) as well as the exclusive PS4 Captain Marvel costume. The game plays great in my opinion, though with it's limited roster isn't up to what past games have been. Hopefully the game is picked back up and revised with more content at some point soon as the title implies "Infinite". If you find this on sale, I can definitely recommend picking it up like I did.

What did I just buy?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I preordered the Collectors edition. By looking at the picture I was expecting to get 4 statues and Light up Infinity Gems. What I got was 4 statues that look decent, they look good far away. And the gems were colored eggs that light up (with batteries). Clearly did not look good as advertised. For $200, I can say I'm disappointed. It's a fast food commercial the burger looks great but in reality it's a mess. As for the game itself, I might be a little too harsh. But I felt like this game wasn't ground breaking enough. It felt like if Disney Infinity decided to make a fighting game and this was the final product. It doesn't compare to Marvel vs Capcom 2 or any other of the classics. It didn't have enough pull for me to keep on playing. Captain Marvel is by far my favorite new character but what I'm disappointed the most is that there is no mutants. Meaning there is no X-Men characters at all. Should have called its MCU vs Capcom.

It's hit and miss for the CE.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, the game itself is pretty good. Some fresh new faces to a world that seems a tad bit new yet familiar. Playa like MvC but with some cooler mechanics. Hardcore players might not enjoy it as much but new comers but it's pretty fun. Now for the meh. Those infinity stones look like garbage. It's like you found them at an Easter Party while the kids are running around looking for eggs. The figurines luckily aren't that bad. So it's hard to justify $200 for this unless your a super fan of Mega Man X, Iron Man, Chun Li or Captain Marvel since those are the 4 figurines. If you arent just get the deluxe or standard editions.

Awesome Figures, So-so game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I go this for under $50 (with GCU) during a holiday sales. I have to say the 4 figures alone were worth the price I paid, especially the Iron-man and Captain Marvel figures. The box with glowing infinity stones was a big let down, to me it feels like a filler item. As for the game itself, I played it for an hour and had to put it down, there are far better games in this genre out there. In summary, I am happy with this purchase mainly because of 4 figures, and the price I paid.

Collectors edition letdown
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a HUGE fan of MvsC. I remember playing the original arcade game in the arcade when those were still a thing. The second is magic and one of the best games ever. The third made me love the series yet again. This however is a bit of a letdown. We were promised amazing looking infinity stones but we got leftover Easter eggs from a few years ago that glow. The statues are alright but the quality seems to be vastly different than what the preorder images show. The game is meh, but it’s just fun being the characters and playing with my son. The story is a bit of a let down as well and is pretty convoluted. The price for this is nowhere near the content you get so I would probably wait for next years shameless cash grab that Capcom has become synonymous with over the past decade.

Great gameplay, not great everything else
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The battle mechanics in this game are very fun, and any fan of the VS series would have a great time playing this game. Unfortunately, the roster is terrible as it has a lot of characters that most people don't really like much. The story is a nice addition, but it could have been better if characters acted more like themselves. If you've played it and love the gameplay, it's worth the purchase. If you're on the fence at all, wait for a price drop and additional DLC characters to be released.

Worth it for the statues alone!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the price this collector's edition is currently at, it is definitely worth it! The game had a rough launch, but the gameplay is top-notch. As for the CE content, the statues were larger than I thought they would be, but they look really nice. The infinity stones do look like plastic easter eggs, but when they're turned on they don't actually look half bad! The game comes in a steelbook and also includes the character pass.
