Mick Garris, directorial veteran of Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories and the features Critters 2: The Main Course and Psycho IV: The Beginning, helms this installment in the hair-raising Masters of Horror series, from an original screen story authored by best-selling novelist Clive Barker. Tyron Leitso stars as Rob Hanisee, an aspiring writer greeted by an odd spiritual manifestation during his stay at a Yaddo-like writer's retreat. It takes the form of a sexy and voluptuous woman who calls herself his "muse" -- a naked woman covered from head to toe with an otherworldly slime. Now, Rob must determine if she is a force for good, or the ultimate evil. Christopher Lloyd (Suburban Commando) co-stars. ~ Nathan Southern

One of the best in the Masters of Horror series!

This is one of the best in the Masters of Horror series. One of my wife and I's favorites! It's directed by Mick Garris (Critters 2 and Psycho 4), based on a short story by Clive Barker (HeIIraiser, Candyman, and Nightbreed), and stars Tony Todd (Candyman) and Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future). This is a very twisted and intriguing plot, as you would expect from Clive Barker. I highly recommend it! Also, I recommend buying both seasons of the Masters of Horror collection as a whole, they're cheaper that way. But, if you're buying them seperately, a few I can recommend are Cigarette Burns, Dream Cruise and Haeckel's Tale (also based on a Clive Barker short story).

Great story here + Tony Todd!!!

Great writing here. You also have Tony Todd (Candyman fame) and The actor that I refer too as (Doc Brown) from back too the future in this movie. This is very enjoyable, and a great addition too the series.
