Amazing Album From An Amazing Band

    Posted
    jordyn

Real Friends have come out with one of the greatest pop-punk albums of all time. Lyrically it is better than anything they have put out. With a more positive outlook on life then any other pop-punk lyrics this album has more to offer than most. Most of the time you hear so many bands whining about growing up and getting out. Although, 'Maybe This Place Is The Same..' has those elements but so much more. The album has quite a few stand out songs, including "I Think I'm Moving Forward" "Short Song" and "Old Book." Those songs have so much meaning behind them that it is hard not to love them. Overall this album is a must-listen. Everyone who likes pop-punk, or music in general needs to listen to Real Friends as soon as possible.

    The Realist Friends Out There

Real Friends have time and time again shown me that I am not alone in the struggles I face in every day life. Their music resonates so well with everything I go through and I can say proudly that they've helped me through some awful nights. It's not just the lyrics in "Maybe This Place.." that are so wonderful, it's also Dan's beautiful voice (as well as his luscious hair wow) and the guest vocals done that seal the deal on this record for me. I have been a fan since last year and I've seen them twice, I'll definitely be going out to see them perform this live! If you like pop punk at it's finest, you'll love Real Friends and this record and I highly recommend you spend your money on it.

I think my favorite thing about this album is that it doesn't feel like it's meant to be poetic, it's not meant to be catchy; but it resonates with you because it's real. The lyrics are thoughts we all tell ourselves late at night or on the monotonous drive to work each morning. I listened to this CD for the entirety of my six hour road trip and everyday since. It's everything I'd hoped for and more. Real Friends is definitely a band worth keeping up with and have quickly become one of my favorites.

this album is fantastic. i'm not sure how they do it, but they always amaze me. real friends always makes me feel like a proud parent. i've been a fan of them since their very first ep and i have never once heard a song that was anything less than amazing. i love their intro and outro songs, i love loose ends, i love sixteen, i love spread me all over illinois, i love every dang song. and let's give a round of applause to gary and mitchell for that album artwork.

    Pop Punk's Not Dead

Chicago pop punk group Real Friends have made quite a name for themselves, with their runs on Warped tour and a few successful EP's to boot, and now they've finally released their first full-length album. This album delivers the same somber blend of emo and mosh-worthy punk that the band is known for, only with a bit more maturity this time around. This album is not to be missed, and could easily be one of the best albums of 2014.

Real Friends have outdone themselves with this one! Kyle and the guys are really put so much thought and amazing into the lyrical and music content, especially into "I Think I'm Moving Forward", "Old Book", and "Summer" such amazing songs! This album has been on repeat since I've picked it up, and for the price you need to get this album. This band does nothing but support their fans, and they deserve nothing but the best!

this is such a great album. pop punk has always been one of my favorite genres but real friends isn't quite like any other pop punk band out there. they're a bit more raw but still know how to have fun. I am so glad I discovered them & was able to be a part of their show backstage at warped tour a few weeks ago. they have amazing energy & a lot of respect for their fans. I can't wait to see them again!

Real Friends truely delivers a emotional and gut wrenching listening experience with their first studio album. Every moment you listen to it, you can feel the raw emotions given from Dan (Lead Singer) and from just the lyrics themself. The way the songs are composed makes you want to keep listening and put the album on repeat. I'm deeply in love with the record.
