Meade 80mm AZ refractor: Got this as a travel scope alternative to my 10" Dobsonian. It is compact and the scope and all accessories fit into an old camera bag. The tripod is sturdy enough for the scope size and weight. Very easy to assemble and set up. It would make a nice starter scope or just for travel. Great for wildlife and daytime observing, moon, planets and some brighter deep space objects.. My only real beef is that the azimuth mount will not allow the scope to point below level, there is a stop. So pointing downhill from a high spot requires shortening a tripod leg. Nice range of eyepieces, not high quality, but it is a beginner level scope. The vertical movement was a bit tight so I loosened with a wrench. The red dot finder works pretty well. All in all a nice lightweight versatile compact unit.

I have had my telasclope out lots an lots on clear nights i have seen the rings of Satern an have enjoyed it every time i use it. And would very much recommend it to a friend if i had one. I will however recommend it to every one tht a talk with from time to time

This telescope is a whole lot better than the first one I bought was longer and weighed more.
