I love this thing so much! No more filling up pill organizers day by day. Just dump the pills into the bins and go. The bigger pills won't always fit a month's supply and they have to be counted, but it's a lot better. No more wondering if you missed a dose or worrying about forgetting one. It will tell you. And it will ding until you take it or send you a message if you missed it. It's also a secure place to keep more sought-after pills, since it's locked behind a metal door. My husband and I share it and we're both very happy with it. (You're not supposed to share, but, since our Medications are on different schedules, we make it work.) And it connected to my Wifi Internet right out of the box. (Unlike the other reviewer, I bought mine new directly from Best Buy)

I purchased the MedaCube automatic pill dispenser for my elderly parent who struggles with managing their medication. While the machine itself is compact, attractive, and doesn’t take up much space, the setup process is incredibly frustrating. Loading medication is not user-friendly, with the internal bins being difficult to remove. For each medication, you must go through a long series of steps, including entering the medication name, matching it with a picture, setting the dosage, and scheduling. With 14 medications to manage, the process took a very long time. One of the features I was excited about was the ability to enter the medication NDC number, but out of the 14 medications, only one worked with this feature. The option to scan medication labels was equally disappointing, as the camera failed to connect every single time. On top of that, the drawer test failed repeatedly, and I eventually gave up on it. The most alarming issue happened when the machine failed to prompt my mother to take her scheduled medication. She waited hours for the reminder, but it never came, despite the machine showing that it had supposedly dispensed the pills. This level of unreliability is concerning, especially for a machine with a hefty price tag of $1,799. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed with this product. Whether it's just a malfunctioning unit or a broader issue with the MedaCube, I cannot recommend it based on my experience.

$35 with shipping for the WiFi USB, which I found was not included with mine. Maybe it is included with the none open box one. The Customer Support was amazing; their system reaches out to you by email, text, or call you or whoever is the caretaker. I take care of myself, but I forget to take my medication, so I need a computer to remind me, and this thing does it for me. I live on my own and do not need anyone to watch over me. This thing does it for me. The Machine also has a locking mechanism for those with Dimensia or who need to take opioids that way, and they do not overprescribe themselves. It can hold over 15 medications, and I also have anti-diarrhea pills set to whenever I want them. Very versatile, but there is a con, You can not put Gummy medication or destroy the robotic arms inside the machine. Please read the instructions and follow them carefully.
