The only reason I rated these a one star was because I couldn't give it zero stars. I was given a gift card and had decided I'd use it on a new pair of earbuds since mine had seen better days. I'm not the type to just go and buy whatever I see first, so I spent days looking and comparing and watching review videos. I finally settled on these since a decent amount of people insisted that they were amazing quality for the price. It took me thirty minutes to figure out how to arrange these so they were actually comfortable on my ears, then another fifteen to position JUST RIGHT within my ear so music didn't come through muffled. Even then, if I moved my jaw, given how close it is to the ear, the sound would become muffled again, and I'd spend another fifteen minutes readjusting, only to give up in frustration. I thought that maybe I had a defective pair, so I took to the internet and found the company replying to people with my same issue with, "You need to adjust the suction within your ear. It's easy and great once you get the hang of it." I kept trying, for months. I'd be excited when I adjusted them and would hear clear music, only to be disappointed by it becoming muffled seconds later because I turned my head and managed to apparently move the earbud within my ear. Whenever I did manage to get decent sound from them (it happened two or three times over the course of five months), the earbuds would actually leave the inside of my ears sore because of the triple flare (the only one that I could get to work for my ears). I tried all the attachment pieces that came with these, hoping at least one would work, but they're all either uncomfortable after twenty minutes, or they distort the sound. I really should have just taken them back, but I was too stubborn and wanted to figure them out. Thankfully, I didn't waste my own money on these.

      Cheap, bad fit, terrible sounding

I don't know how the ratings and reviews put this item so high in quality. The construction of these is extremely cheap. The clear plastic on the buds themselves is extremely cheap and creaky -- not solid. The over the hear cord that has a molded twist tie kind of function is terrible. It doesn't stay in the shape you form it in, so it won't wrap around the back of your ear and stay securely in place. There are a lot of rubber pads for the earbuds, but none of them feel secure to me, and some are awkward against the shape of the earbud, and make it really difficult to fit. The sound quality is probably the worst part here. Reviews claim it is surprisingly excellent, but it sounds very muffled, unbalanced, tinny, scratchy and abrasive. There is a somewhat decent bass throb with the right rubber caps, but it gets distorted easily. I purchased Best Buy Insignia brand earbuds on clearance for $3.99 prior to this purchase, and they are much more balanced sound and not distorted. If you're looking for a cool look, decent sound, and an excellent price, look for the plastic Insignia earbuds (the more expensive metal ones are terrible sounding, oddly). They are sold between $3.99 and $7.99 now. If you're looking for an earbud set for the gym or running, I would look around for a bluetooth earbud band. They are really cheap now! So, please, do not waste your time with these. They are extremely cheaply built, sound horrific, and are overpriced.

Great earphones at a reasonable price

When I bought the M6, I had never heard of MEElectronics. But there were some good reviews, so I decided to take a chance. I'm glad I did! The single most important thing about earphones is the sound quality, of course. Unlike the gentleman who said they have terrible sound quality, I find that the M6 has pretty good sound quality, especially for earphones in this price range. I've tried more expensive earphones that didn't sound as good. There is a fair amount of bass, and the mids and highs are fairly well rounded. I was happy with the way all my music sounded, from easy listening to heavy metal. The memory wire can make it a little tricky to put these earphones in, when you first start using them. It gets easier once you've used them a few times. It really helps keep them in place when you're working out or doing anything physical. I'm very happy with the accessories that came with the M6, as well as the overall quality of these earphones. I also own the M21 earphones by MEElectronics, and I've really come to like this company. They have well made, good quality products, at very reasonable prices. If you need a good pair of earphones, especially for working out or other physical activities, at a good price, I highly recommend you try the M6.

Great for fitness and Gym goers

I bought this pair of headphone for listening to music at gym. Durability: M6P is water resistant so I don't need to worry about sweat damaging it. Also the construction looks very durable. The cable feels very strong. I expect them to last for a very long time. I will update if it breaks down. It also comes with a nice carrying case. Fit and comfort: There are 6 pairs of tips provided. I find the single flange one is most comfortable for me. I think the double and triple ones go too deep into my ears, which makes me uncomfortable. When wearing them with cable over ear (which is also the only way to wear them) there is little microphonics. Its noise isolation is decent, but not great. One thing to note is that during sports the position of the headphone in ear may change and this will also have effect on the sound. Sound quality: Decent sound for the price, but not the best in the price range. In my opinion the AKG K318 sounds better (I got mine for 30 dollars. But it seems it's now discontinued). But definitely K318 is not as durable and rugged as M6P. Though not the best sounding headphone, I guess it might be the most durable in this price range (and probably more durable than lots of more expensive ones).

      Not For IEM use

These are great budget earphones. I would recommend them for going to the gym or taking runs. They are fairly comfortable, nothing that I would wear for more than 1-2 hours though. They come with a very handy case that keeps the wire from being ripped up or tangled. Although they are pretty quality for about $20, they are only really good for exercise. They block out sound very well but don't confuse that with driver quality. The bass is boomy and the highs are scattered and echoey. When listening to mastered music it is less noticeable, but using these for on stage IEM is not a good idea. The highs can get really harsh when performing, but that can be fixed by a simple eq I guess. For the drummers out there; these are perfect for blocking out sound and staying in place, but listening to a click or a strong high vocal or a lead guitar can be painful at times...be careful.

I have always had issues with ear buds popping out of my ears. Since this comes with an array of choices for the earbud coverings, I found one that works for me. I'm not an audiophile, but the sound quality seems to be excellent to me. I hear high highs and low lows. (For reference, I plug them in to the headjack port of my LG V20.) I wear them a lot when commuting or working out, so it blocks out some of the outside noise pretty well. I like that you can just mold the wire to fit over your ear, it makes for an adaptable fitting ear cuff rather than an unyielding, one-size-fits-all ear cuff. I never liked things around my ears, but this memory wire is pretty light, so I don't really notice it much. Unless you're super particular about your ear buds, I think most people will be happy with these for those looking for wired ear buds.

Super Quality earbuds @ a nominal fee!!!

I've owned 3 pairs of these headphones (black, clear and a clear set of M6 PRO's). They sound AMAZING! The M6 have more bass than the M6 PRO but they both produce superior sound capturing the highs, mids and lows @ a great price point and are comfortable to wear. To me, the PRO's are better for referencing the true sound that is coming through, whereas like I stated before the M6's add more bass. I love the accessories and cases they come with. They are perfect for live band performances, studio work or just plain listening pleasure.

Not sure how I ever used any other earbuds before these... Took a chance on an unknown brand after reading reviews here, and so glad I did. They stay totally secure on my ears whether walking, running, or rocking out! Good sound quality, and the wires seem very solid. (Hoping they last.) There was a little bit of a "learning curve" in figuring out how to mold the bendable wire part over my ears. However, now that I figured it out, they are super easy to put in. The carrying case is a great little bonus, and I've now taken to carrying these earbuds with me in my purse everywhere I go. Highly recommend.
