Great tripod for the money
|Posted .Pros mentioned:Compact, PriceI have been using the same old tripod for over a decade starting with my DSLR cameras. Since making the switch to mirrorless I wanted something a little lighter and more compact. This tripod has fit the bill well. I have used it for extended long exposure shots. I have had it in water, in the desert, in the snow, etc. It is lightweight, packs nice, the head locks nice, perfect mid range do it all tripod for a mirrorless kit. www.jacobcarrollphotography.com

Amazing tripod for the price

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Price, Product constructionI'm an astrophotographer, so I was looking for a tripod that could stay as still as possible. After seeing it in the store, I could tell this tripod was made of fantastic quality. Seeing that it's only $150 I had to grab it. I'm used to seeing tripods of this quality at $250 or more. The fact that it also has a hook on the bottom to add additional weight in windy situations is a fantastic plus. I didn't even know that it comes with a bag and spike feet for keep sturdy in softer ground. That's fantastic for how I use it. The mount on this tripod is great as well. It's a quick release and it's small. The screw on it also has a handle build in so that you don't need a tool to screw it into the camera and make sure it's tight. That's incredibly convenient. What's also great, since I have to point my camera straight up to the sky sometimes, is how tall this tripod is. I'm 5'4 so having a 61" tripod that I don't have the bend over for to look through my camera is also very great. Overall, this tripod is one of the best that Best Buy sells right now for the price and I recommend it to everyone.

Strong tripod, weak adjustment dials
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I use this with a tamron 150-600mm lens and camera (about 14 pounds) it holds the weight well without any fear of my camera falling. The ONLY problem I have is the adjustment dials don't handle the weight well. Once you loosen one you cam move the camera any direction even when the other dials are tight. Just fine though with a lighter weight lens. Not a big issue for me since I shoot mostly still shots, but if you're using a heavy lens and want to have free range and shoot might be a little camera control issue. I would still recommend it to a friend though.

Nice, Compact, Fairly Sturdy but not heavy
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I was looking for a tripod that would be easier to carry than my current tripod. This one seems to fit the bill. When collapsed, it is fairly compact. It sets up easily. It's fairly stable for a light tripod. Good enough for mirrorless cameras and smaller DSLRs. If you want to add weight to it to help stabilize it further, it provides a place at the bottom of the center post to hang things like your camera bag. The biggest surprise was how fluid the head pans which is a nice feature for video. I did not give it five stars because there is always room for improvement. This does not compete with the heavier more expensive tripods which are more sturdy and offer more features, but it is a nice alternative if you want to travel light.

Decent price point, very sturdy

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I havent owned many tripods but this one is very compact, breaks down into about 16 inches long, very light at only about 3 pounds. its very sturdy if you make sure all legs are tightened. Has 1 nice grip on one of the legs, i wish it was all 3 legs but none the less works very well, sturdy and locks your camera down.

Q: QuestionWill this tripod work with a Canon VIXIA HF R800 video camera?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes it will work, however, you will want to replace the head if you're going to be panning and tilting. I'm currently using the Manfrotto MVH500AH Flat Base Pro Fluid Head to give smooth pan and tilt. I'm sure there are cheaper ones out there. But this tripod is definitely sturdy enough. I have two of them.
