I love this Melitta Expresso maker. My old one was the simple kind and finally died out after 10 years plus, also a Melitta brand. I am a Cuban girl and have to have my Cafe con Leche every morning. I use Bustelo coffee. It takes less than 15 seconds to warm up and 10 seconds to brew. The coffee comes out quick and frothy. No wasted coffee grounds. I fill the water holder on a Sunday and it lasts me the whole week. I have not tried it with the pods, but I bought it because it gave me the option of brewing American coffee if friends came over.

It was not what I expected when first opening the box. Some parts are not stainless steel as you would expect, but more like plastic, so I'm not sure how long this machine will last. For now, it makes delicious espresso. Also a disappointment, the machine does not automatically stop the espresso; it keeps dripping until you turn the knob; to me this is an important aspect of the product that I wish I had known.
