Q: QuestionWhat is this used for? Does it increase resolution on the oculus quest or framerate like a thunderbolt 3 cable would? Is it only meant to serve the purpose of having the quest operate without using batteries? What is this used for?
Asked by OculusSeeker.
- A:Answer This wire turns your oculus quest into an oculus Rift S, allowing you to play all PCVR games. It does not increase resolution or hz refresh rate

Q: QuestionWhat actually comes in the box with the Quest 2? Do I need to buy anything additional?
Asked by Austin.
- A:Answer To play stand-alone games on the Quest 2, no, you do not need to purchase anything additional. In the box you get the headset, a charger, two controllers, and a "glasses spacer" to help if you need to wear glasses while using the headset. If you want to play computer-based VR games through the Quest 2, you will need additional software or hardware. You can either purchase software to make this work wirelessly (a Google search will tell you all you need to know on how to do this), or you can buy a USB-C cable to connect the Quest 2 to your computer (of course, your computer must support USB-C for this to work). Oculus has its own USB-C cable called the Link (expensive but good), but Google can also point you to lower-priced options.

Asked by Shirl.
- A:Answer You purchase games through either your phone (connected with the app) or through your headset. It has a full catalog in the headset.

Q: QuestionDo I need this to be able to use the vr headset?
Asked by Lamont.
- A:Answer I was able to use my Quest (NOT THE QUEST 2, hasnt arrived yet to test) with a third party usb-cable just fine, but did purhcase the Oculus one here bc its longer and will definitely work. Most of the third party cables that work are only 10ft or less. Keep in mind the link cable is just so you can play wired PC Oculus games, you can be totally wireless playing any native Quest game. Hope that helps.

Q: QuestionCan you use an adapter for the computer end of this cable. I have 3 relatively new game PCs and none have usb c ports.
Asked by Sinjin.
- A:Answer Yes you can, however beware the kind of adapter you get as it may hinder the cable's ability to also charge the headset while plugged in.

Q: QuestionIs there a way I can play the games on the head set and others see me play on the Tv?
Asked by Jay.
- A:Answer There are two ways you could do this. The first would be to send display output directly from your computer that you are linked to to the TV. The other option is to cast to a chromecast attached to the tv.
