Good box
|Posted .Not bad for being mdf. If you're just looking for beginner grade sub enclosure this works great. If you're looking for bass that will shake your neighbors house then you might want to look for a custom box without terminal cups. The cups can't really handle big boy subs due to the thin wire it has. If you go with this box replace the wire it comes with for a thicker 12 gauge. The terminal cups can use 12 gauge no problem but if you plan to wire 2 subs in different enclosures you will need to use some kind of connectors to fit in the terminal cups. I used a female connector and I put 2 wires on the female side and used the other end to go in the terminal cup hole. It works good like that if using 12 gauge

Good Quality, Bad info on website
Posted .Since Best Buy didn't put the Cubic Ft of this box I'm giving this item 3 stars. We need to know how big the box is, some subwoofers can't use this small of a box. Please put the cubic feet of the box on all the subwoofer boxes web pages. This box is 0.75 cubic feet of air space. The box is great quality.

Not as described - 5/8" MDF Box
Posted .Unfortunately the description for this subwoofer box is not what I received - it's a cheap, 5/8" MDF (a bit shy of even 5/8") box even though the description (and price) state that it's a true 3/4". Unfortunately my subwoofer is 500W+ and the manufacturer specifically recommends 3/4" or larger. This is also priced 30% over the price of the other 5/8" boxes, so figured it was actually 3/4". See picture attached. It's seems like a decently built, sturdy box, but not what I ordered or what was described.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Sound qualityPut this in my commuter hoopty 2002 Mazda Protege. Bought this box on sale at Xmas. It came paired with a 10” Kicker CompR. Look at the MFG specs for the woofer the box slightly undersized, so I used some poly fill inside the box. I powered it with the Alpine MRV-M500 500wRMS mono amp. Ran the amp and woofer at 2 ohms. Installed it myself. Everything is perfect together. Sounds great. More bass than I needed.

Q: QuestionAccurate Box DimensionsCould someone please kindly post the dimensions of this box, as it's missing 1 measurement. There should be a width, height, top depth, and bottom depth for hatchbax style boxes due to the rear sloping aspect but I believe this listing is missing the top depth in the item specifications as I can't find it anywhere. I'm interested in this because without it, It's impossible to determine the volume of this box with regards to cubic feet.

Q: QuestionHow much weight can this box hold? I have a pretty beefy sub im putting in here because of space issues in my trunk so a big box won't work for me.

Q: QuestionWhat size screws come with the box?I bought this box off of a friend however he only has 7 of the 8 screws and I'd like to try to get another but I have no idea what the size is.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The screws didn't come with the box so you would have to pick some of your own, the box is 3/4" mdf, you don't want to go through the box for lack of seal, so you could get 1/2" screws and it would be just fine. If the pre existing screws from your friends were longer than the thickness off your box you should seal the screw holes tight with some sort of caulking or RV sealant.

Q: QuestionIs this box suitable for a shallow mount speaker or is there to much room? Also, how do I know if I need a sealed or port box?
Asked by Sully.
- A:Answer Sealed box punchy bass. Ported box deeper bass but more distortion. Box would work with slim design sub.
