I bought this item as a package which included a new radio for my 2005 Silverado. It has the features I wanted like multiple inputs so I can listen to audio books on long trips and a way to charge my cell phone without a specific car charger. I also enjoy the hands free cell phone use I get now. What I don't like (but it is getting better now that I am able to get some practice with the radio) is how the buttons are so sensitive. I will retrieve my sunglasses from the slot underneath the radio face and accidentally hit a button changing the station or I will not hold the source button long enough and the radio will change source instead of turning off. Worse of all, if I touch the volume control wrong the radio will go into setup mode instead of adjusting the volume. All in all I am happy with the package, the radio and the installation.

I bought a stereo install kit for my Olds 88, and noticed it provided the easiest install I've ever had with an aftermarket car stereo. When I replaced the Olds with a Pontiac Vibe, I came back to Best Buy for the kit hoping to replicate the results. My brother helped me install the stereo, he had also helped my sister install and aftermarket stereo in her Vibe. The Best Buy kit installed far easier than the kit she purchased. If you are buying an aftermarket stereo, buy the install kit from Best Buy, it will save you a lot of hassle.

I would recommend this product but it does require cutting I recommend using in oscillating tool make sure to double check what you're cutting before you cut because this kid is for a lot of different vehicles The fit and finish of the kit is excellent but requires a lot of knowledge on how to make things fit and the instructions are about useless

Since these kits are made for several vehicles, similar in style, they don't ever quite fit right. EVER.... Not to mention, in my Chevy Tahoe, trying to cut off every tab as requested by the instructions was almost impossible. But, it was what they had at the time.....

It worked even though did not fit exactly proper. But for a universal it was ok. I have installed a lot of stereos and this one was the most challenging . The kit it actually called for they showed but did not have, Best Buy employee was helpful enough to find something close by us going back in the install dept.

I didn't even know I needed this for my new stereo but I was pleasantly surprised that I don't even know it's there. It looks like a seamless fit and that the stereo was supposed to be there all along. Very nice!

The product does what it is supposed to do. It holds the new audio deck in my vehicle. However, there is one issue. In a 2004 Vibe, there is a small gap on the side where the plastic doesn't reach all the way to the side.

Worked as described. A double din requires cutting of the metal bracket behind the stock radio, but thats just the way it is for this vehicle.
