This kit is designed to fit a lot of different cars. My particular install was in a 1996 Geo Tracker. In addition to the kit manual's instructions for trimming un-needed tabs, I had to cut about 3/16'" off the bottom of the kit as well as the tabs on top so that it would fit properly. When installing, I also had to use a couple washers on the top mounts in order for the dash bezel to fit properly when it was installed. I don't think it takes too much away from the kit, as it still fits very good, and by using the ISO DIN mount option, the radio sits flush. The pocket is a nice touch and is used to hold my phone and a pen or two. The only negative, and will only come in to play is when removing the radio, is that the ISO DIN brackets snap in to the kit, but not that well. It's very easy to pop the radio out with just pressure and not having to squeeze the clips.

these kits could use closer tolerances. after installing the kit and radio, there was a gap(as w/ any of these kits) between the dash and front of the kit. easy fix though: simply pry off the screw hole pieces from the parts you dont use and use them as spacers where the screws go into the dash. i used probably three on each screw and it was enough to close the gaps. also be sure that you raise the kit up before tightening down the screws so there isnt a gap at the top.

Needed the kit for the aftermarket receiver to fit into an Escalade. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that I only used one plate to secure the receiver to the dash. I threw away the majority of the kit because I didn't need it. I guess i could have looked for just the face plate that I used but I didn't search to see if that was sold separately and quite frankly didn't know what I was going to need when I started. It did it's job and holds the receiver in place, so I can't complain. Without it I wouldn't have got the job done.

So I arrive at the store located at Brentwood St. Louis. I get there and I ask the girl is I could I get a bezel for the 2005 GMC Yukon Denali with Navigation. They provided this one. I then knew that something was not right as there is no way that I should have to cut the middle strip out of a bezel with a razor as their rude tech lied it states in the instruction and it did not make sense. well I looked it up at crutchfield and I found the proper part number for vehicles with navigation. the part number is. 95-2001 and its at their store and they didn't know it and their tech installer purposely misled and laughed as he walked away.

I needed this product to install a new stereo into my care, and it worked out great! The only thing that I would suggest is letting the customer know they might have to cut off a piece of the plastic for certain stereos to fit properly. I was so confused thinking after i had bought it for a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am that it wasn't going to work. But all it needed was for a plastic piece to be cut off. Overall was pretty happy with the product. The Best Buy associates helped me find the right one for my car and it was a decent price.

I see a lot of questions about installations which really surprise me. You folks end to realize that all vehicles are not the same and you will just about ALWAYS need the correct adapters and similar devices to make any aftermarket stereo plug right into your favorite tory harness. This keeps your installer from having to chop up your factory harness and makes it easier for them to offer requires installing your factory stereo for free if you sell your vehicle and want to keep your new stereo for your next vehicle.

This kit did NOT fit around the face of the radio that I ordered, and after having to CUT the main part of the faceplate in hope of getting it to fit, there's no returning for a refund. The brackets were helpful, as it allowed me to at least secure the radio to the dash of the truck (until the plastic drys out and breaks anyway). Not too much else to say, brackets get a 4, faceplate gets a 0, so the overall score is only a 2.

I didn't understand why the microphone they would already there could not be used and it's not always very clear for people to hear me but it does service purpose so I can't complain too much and the guys in the installation Department were very nice and cool about everything and they've even checked it a few times for me when I had problems
